(POLL) Which Featured projects layout do you prefer?
The featured projects section is getting quite large and I do not want to single out any project just to keep it small. However, it makes the board longer to scroll and some people might find it harder to navigate that way. So I am wondering, would you prefer that the projects section continue looking like this? Or would you prefer that it becomes more compact, like this? (all projects, including the non-project-specific sub-forums, would be listed below...

100 topics per page instead of 50
Because of a severe bug with Topic Cloning mod rendering most sub-forum pages 2 until the second to last page pretty much impossible to sort through (the first and last page of each sub-forum are unnafected), I have now increased the amount of topics per page from 50 to 100 for the time being. We were aware of the issue a long time ago, but the bug effects seems to get worse with larger sub-forums.If you notice too many slowdowns as a result of this or if the server crashes, then let me know and...

About the buttons on the navbar...
..yes, the , etc buttons. Why are most of them not clickable and only spawn a drop-down menu? What I'd like is that they lead to a default option, e.g. the top option, or one that many users use a lot. Saves a lot of precise mousing

Bugs with the site.
I've noticed a few bugs recently right now I can only remember 2 but I'll probably remember eventually.WalrusIRC won't show up. This happens when I am logged in for a long time, I'm guessing that this an issue with SMF.I also can't vote on polls (only tried one so it might be isolated to that poll). As an added issue. Gmail has started calling the forum updates spam.

CW mailing lists-style and IRC<>forum integration functionality?
So I found this on SMF: , it adds mailing lists functionalities to SMF forums, allowing people to participate to the forums via e-mail and vice-versa. In other words, people would be able to use CodeWalrus like the good ol' ticalc.org mailing lists back in the days. You would basically be able to reply to any topic via e-mail, but your e-mail address would most likely be shown. This feature would be handy for the people who don't l...

Dillema about skin background color
So I worked a bit on the forum theme last night, the hardest part being figuring out how to center the logo (something unusual on a SMF forum) and the theme is far from finished. However, I was unsure about what background color to choose around the site. Currently it's dark turquoise or something, but would people prefer something different and what? What I know, though, is that using the same green as the inner logo green looked ugly, though, and a gray-ish green looks more like an hospital su...

Featured projects section cleanup
So it has been a long while since we last made any updates to the featured projects section, and I feel that some newer projects might deserve a spot there. However, to avoid cluttering the place, I was considering movinng some of the inactive or finished projects in the calc projects sub-forum, along with Herocore, in a new section there.Do you think, however, that notable finished projects should remain where they are, though? For example, First Fantasy was supposed to have sequels, but they'r...

Flair Problems
On the CodeWalrus forums, whenever I click on the blue "ti-83+/84+" flair (flairs - is that what they are called?), I am taken to a new tab entitled "Set Search Parameters." When I click on the other flairs, I am able to see actual search results that correspond to the flair. After further testing, the only time anyt...

Forum reply notifications glitch
It has come to my attention that several members have started receiving notifications for replies in topics they posted in a week ago. This is most likely due to a bug with SMF 2.0.xx theme config in the admin panel.A week ago or so, board notifications have been set to be enabled by default for all future member accounts (can be disabled at will), while existing accounts were set to remain untouched by those changes. This was done via the "Configure guest and new user options for this theme" pa...

HCWP site launch?
Ok, so I have a video presenting the website and Manycam on my computer. What I was wondering is if Google Hangouts kicks you out for inactivity after 2.5 hours like IRCCloud does? Because if it doesn't do so as long as you're streaming, I was thinking of setting up a CodeWalrus launch event on HCWP this evening.Basically, at 4:30 PM GMT-5 (9:30 PM site time and 10:30 PM for our French/Dutch members), I would launch a modified version of the video that has 2 hours 27 minutes of no audio nor any ...

Ideas to improve CodeWalrus, short term 2015
So I am creating this thread to see if any of our current members have ideas that could improve CodeWalrus. What we are looking at are ideas that will keep people interested in contributing or even bring new members. Basically, we want you to tell us how much we have screwed up. Think of it as a mini-survey, but in the near future I might actually do multiple surveys that are actually more elaborate, like the one @happybobjr did a few years ago on Omni. I also want to make a demographics survey...

International board/topics?
What you think about it? The current idea is to not create boards right now, but to allow people to post in another language, but you'd have to prefix your title with or or something like that. If it's popular then we might consider creating some boards for that. That would be nice to attract some international users.

IRC channel split on too many networks
Title says it all, three networks plus the internal omnomirc network are kinda annoying. I suggest dropping the freenode channel as no one uses it, maybe we could get rid of omninet as well since basically no one that doesn't come from omni uses the latter.

Karma change reasons now enabled
So in order to prevent accidental post down-voting and discourage suspicious down-votes, I have finally caved in and decided to enable karma reasons, so now when you click "Like" or "Flag as abusive", you will be asked why you want to up-vote or down-vote the post. We don't really mind if you give no reason for "likes", since "like" is self-explanatory (we recommend replying with a post to comment rather than just clicking the button, though). But for "flag as abusive" down-votes, you have to gi...

Killing HTTP support on CodeWalrus (site would become HTTPS-only)
So in order to increase security on CW, disabling access via HTTP is being considered. However, many of our users are forced (either due to financial difficulties or restrictive parents) to use old computers or phones that cannot be upgraded to browsers with better SSL and certificate support, and we want the site to be reachable for all our users. So we wanted to ensure that the site was fully functional on old Android versions, such as Android 2.2.2. It appears that the site, despite a certifi...

Like/Flag as Abusive buttons require high accuracy
As I've mentioned in IRC, I have some troubles with the 'Like' and 'Flag as Abusive' buttons. It's quite easily to hit the wrong button, which isn't very nice. Here's a picture to illustrate my issue: So, I'm running an Ubuntu with Chromium and I also have tested with Firefox - both have this problem. I'm not sure if this is just me or a bad button design. Maybe you can put a border around it, or add some more whitespace to like? I don't know if it is pos...
