We got a new theme that adds some of the features we wanted a long time ago, such as defaulting to the global list of recent topics. While this is still not tag-based when it comes to topic categories and sub-forums, this allows us to keep Simplemachines software rather than converting to something else. We are aware that a number of people (if not everyone) had issues logging in directly from the front page portal. A session timeout error will happen. Unscheduled maintainance, site should work slightly better now

Well, as you might know, the site ran into quite a bunch of issue these days, including PHP-FPM starting to ramp the CPU up to 100% for no reson, so this morning I upgraded our LAMP stack to newer versions, including PHP 7.1 (which should be faster than our old PHP 5). CodeWalrus to move to a different host and forum software in 2019

In order to reduce costs, CodeWalrus website will shut down its DigitalOcean webspace on January 1st 2019 and everything located there will move to our second hosting provider, which already hosts both CW and WTFCity's Minecraft servers.The website will also ditch Simplemachines forum software in the near future in favor of PhpBB3 or Discourse, depending of which is the most up to today's web standards by the time it happens.

Unexpected site downtime

There was some unexpected downtime a few minutes ago, which was caused by a broken SMF modification package that did not uninstall itself properly.
