I'm using these timea Krita, to see if that's as good as they said.

I can see the power for drawing on it but I have yet to see the interest of using it for pixel art or photo manipulation.

Well for pixel art in gonna stick with Grafx 2.

You can use Photoshop or GIMP (as said earlier).
I prefer GIMP even that my dad bought the latest Photoshop.
He did also buy Premiere which still is an awesome video editor.

I used to use GIMP (and still use it, mainly on Linux and/or I'm too lazy to install Photoshop), but nowadays my studies requires the Adobe suite, so that's what I use.
