I listen mostly to electronic music made after 2002 :P. Its very depend of what you search for. EDM has a lot of sub genre's (like dubstep and such) but some are better than others.

Yeah my issue is that most stuff sounds like electro nowadays, even trance and the variety is not wide.

Saturday, I went to Vilain Pingouin again and it was awesome, as always.

Tomorrow, I'm going to see Metallica :D . They're the final event to be held in this building:

Then once they packed up and moved to the venue next door (they play there on Wednesday, but I couldn't get tickets), the Colisée Pepsi will be locked down, much like the Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in 1996 D:

On the other hand, the new venue is MUCH better, especially sound. But they're planning to play a newer setlist, rather than mostly older songs. I like Death Magnetic and Reload, but not St-Anger, Load and Lulu.

This deserves a double-post (this vid is not by me, by the way):

I was on the floor, on the left in the middle. During the first 2 minutes of that song I was in the mosh pit.

EDIT Moar videos from other people:

Awesome ! :D The quality of these videos is very questionable though but I guess it's hard to film in a crowd, and phones suck at it. <_<

Yeah plus it was incredibly loud so even the ones with better sound (eg Master of Puppets) have clipping and stuff. Note, however, that Colisée Pepsi venue always had terrible acoustic, so any note played there bounces back against every wall and causes a lot of echo/reverb. While quality was way better live, the echo/reverb you hear in the Master of Puppets video was actually there when I attended the show. Also, in the stands, there are places where the sound is worse (eg the upper bowl on under the upper bowl where view is obstructed). Good times, though, and lots of nostalgia since they played there in 1989, 1991, 1997, 2004 (twice), 2009 (twice) and now 2015. This is one of the reasons why they replaced this arena, plus the fact it was no longer meeting today's standards with large stages and stuff (some bands couldn't play there anymore because the stage wouldn't fit through.

Metallica in Quebec City July 14th \m/ and Maiden on July 16th. I'm going to Sabaton on April 26th and Maiden, although for Metallica it will depend if I can afford the festival pass this year (and if I'm willing to attend the concert inside the venue rather than just hearing the music outside, because you can't see shit on Abraham plains and when it's windy the sound is terrible). It would still be fun, though, if I can afford the pass during presale :3=

To be honest, I am not too much a fan of electro or slow trance at music concerts. I like melodic dubstep and would most likely slam to it, but otherwise I would rather prefer an extreme genre such as happy hardcore or UK hardcore. Sadly, the hardcore scene is non-existent in Quebec City area. I wish that the FEQ organized an event at l'Anti during their yearly electronic night where they would have DJs from the UK rave scene. The venue is very small (holds 200 people IIRC) but it would be a nice place to introduce people to different electronic genres including happy hardcore. Or just make them play as first act before mainstream electronic artists like Bassnectar or Skrillex at the bigger venues.

My gf has the great habit of winning all the time, we've now been to the same concert two years in a row, each time she won 2 tickets

sadly she didn't win the car....

Peter Gabriel, Don Henley, Roger Waters (many times), David Gilmour, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Smash Mouth, Roger Hodgson, Marillion, Iggy Pop, ELO, The Proclaimers, Ry Cooder, Robert Plant and Johnny Marr are all people I've seen live, and likely a few I've forgotten.

We have tickets to see Art Garfunkel, Arlo Guthrie, Eric Clapton, and Robby Krieger soon. We are also planning on going to Metallica and King Crimson sometime.

Wow that's an amazing selection Strontium! I tend to focus more on the extreme music genre bands (eg Metallica) but I saw Roger Waters once and the experience was amazing, especially the visuals. Juju brought back home one of the cardboard bricks that got used for the massive wall. Some bricks had graffiti/street art  on them on each side of the stage.

My next concerts are gonna be Sabaton and Iron Maiden. Probably gonna wander near the Metallica concert venue but I doubt I'll have money to buy a ticket to get in (I'm ok with it. I don't like massive outdoor venues as much because the sound sucks). ALso I might attend the free concert with 100 bands/artists in two weeks (Dance Laury Dance is gonna be part of it)
