Not really, I might add it later as an game in a arcade to get coins and stuff but the base gameplay will not really be like Nagoji 4x3.

Aah ok. I wonder if it would be better to call it Nagoji RPG or something, since it could lead to confusion? (unless the theme was really similar)

Maybe, the name is not set in stone but I want it to be open for sequels

Now that you mention sequels, the first game could be small in size, such as focusing on one game area and 1 village, so you get used to RPG programming in the mean time. RPG projects tend to be overwhelming if you haven't worked on them before. The first smaller game could act as a base for the engine for a larger sequel.

Good idea when I find my calc I will start on that. :)

I like the 8x8 and 16x16 renditions of Walrii. That said, the 24x24 sprite was designed to be useable in 16x16 games too, though. His eyes and legs can overlap a bit on the tiles so it looks a little more 3D-ish and it still looks nice. Plus since walruses are quite fat they probably can squeeze a bit through narrower areas anyway.

I believe some 8 and 16 bits games did that too. But it's ok if you want to use a 16x16 sprite instead. I made one once but I don't think it turned out very well.

I think that if I continue with Nagoji this is the way I will make it since I have used this method with Zampy's Quest! Thanks @DJ Omnimaga ;)
