Among the many calcs and devices I got that use a rechargeable battery, the TI-Nspire gotta be by far the worst when it comes to keeping its charge. Ever since I got it 3.5 years ago, after less than three weeks of non-use, the battery is completely drained out, even if it was at full charge the last time I used it. I have it set to go in deep sleep mode or whatever it's called after one day of non-use, so I am unsure what is the problem. My Nintendo 3DS remains at 50% charge even though I last charged it two years ago and everything else including the HP Prime keeps its charge for over a month, if not more.

I don't get why a 150-224 MHz calculator is this terrible at keeping its charge when my PS Vita can go a month without going under 20%. Is it just that bad, do I have a defective battery or am I just doing something wrong? This happens since I got it, brand new.

Is it like the TI-84 where it just turns the screen off or is it really off?

Might a battery pull work? I had to do that to make my CSE charge...

Mine is fine, last time I charged it was... well I don't remember :P. I think there is something wrong with your battery :(

I could probably try the battery pull trick. But yeah it happened ever since I got it (even before I used Ndless). I hope it's not because my battery is bad, although at least it didn't get that much worse in the last few years, but still annoying. However, if I recall correctly, I heard that other people had the same issue.

I'M unsure, but if I don't use the calc for a day, when I turn it back ON it shows the booting screen like on a computer and stuff. When it has been less than a day it just opens instantly.

Yeah, then I think something's wrong with your Nspire, it shouldn't shut off after sleeping for ~1 day

Actually I just checked my settings and it's 4 days, not 1 day (you can choose 1 to 5 days or never). My bad. It used to be 1 day, though. But still, it's not normal that it still drains itself this much afterwards.

Oh, I didn't know about that setting, disregard my previous post, but I still think somethings wrong with it, mine lasts for weeks with semi-frequent use.
