A long anime would be if they remade some American soap opera TV shows into anime and remade every episode. I think some have like 10000 episodes or more, since they aired every week day for 40 years.

Duke "Tape" Eiyeron

365 * 40 = 14600.

Oh my goodness. That isn't a soap opera anymore, it's a timeline!

More like (365-104) * 40 = 10440, since they don't air on weekends. But yeah, The Young and the Restless have about that much episodes.

Edit: 10574 episodes at the time of writing, and it's in its 43th season. Not far from my estimation.

Assuming 1 hour/episode, that would last 440 days and 14 hours non-stop. Plus a few days so you catch up the episodes aired during your marathon.

I think a typical soap opera is an hour, but if you exclude commercials it's more like 40-50. Some might be 30 minutes long (or 20 with commercials removed)

Québec City is in the new Pokémon movie! *.* (well, sort of. Notice the Frontenac Castle at the beginning)

So Juju made me find AKB0048 a few weeks ago by linking Kibou ni Tsuite (the intro song). Looked up the anime, thought to myself, hey I like this. Downloaded last weekend, marathoned last night.

And it was freaking awesome. I would recommend you to listen to some music from AKB48 before watching the anime so you can hum/yell/dance along with the songs (which are amongst the best I have heard in an anime so far). Songs I'd recommend you to listen to are Aitakatta, Heavy Rotation, RIVER, Beginner and Oogoe Diamond.
The anime is also pretty feelsy, I teared up a couple times but that might also be due to being tired and not being able to resist as much. Tho maybe that's just the true feels coming out ~.~
Short story synopsis: Girls become idols to spread hope to planets where entertainment is banned. Not your regular idol anime.

I just started assassination classroom. It's a pretty fun anime and it seems to have a pretty good story so far (2 episodes aired).

Juju

Well that's pretty cool they based that movie on Canada, I got pretty excited when I saw this. (Then our local MTV made jokes on poutine and other stereotypical stuff.)

And yeah, AKB0048 is your typical idol anime based on real life group AKB48, but they went a step higher by incorporating some sci-fi in this, and they did it pretty well.

And for Assasination Classroom, I watched an episode, it looks pretty cool.

Hmmm. My friend told me to watch this so I guess I should.

Well I just finished death note (its my favorite) and it was very heavy. The ending was pretty good so I'd definitely recommend it.
Don't look here if you care about watching it:
Spoiler: ShowHide
So I was really upset when they killed L. I felt like there was no way for them to end it well without L but they managed to resolve it pretty well. Anyway if you've seen it what was your favorite and stuff?

So I tend to like heavy animes so here's my modified top 5 list (10 because of ties).
   1.  Deathnote
   2.  Attack on titan
       Psychopass
       Deadman Wonderland
   3.  SAO
       Fullmetal Alchemist
       RWBY
   4.  Soul Eater
   5.  Kaze no Stigma (just started, this will probably change places a few times)

Sorry for the revive of an old topic but I felt like sharing.
