Hello Walrusses :walrii:

I noticed that we didn't have a dedicated YouTube channel suggestions thread yet so here you go :)

I am subscribed to the following channels (as of 5th Sept. 2016)

I don't regularly watch all of them, and there are certainly some that I would unsubscribe from by now, but that's a good overview.
Btw, notice how I am German and I basically don't watch any German YouTube channels (because they suck :P).

My favorites are theodd1sout, bigclivedotcom, Tinkernut, CNLohr, ashens, colinfurze, Cody's Lab,Tom Scott, danooct1, The Obsolete Geek, Lazy Game Reviews, 8-Bit Keys and Druaga1.

I really love EEVBlog, too, since you learn a lot about repairing stuff and it's very entertaining at the same time ^^

JelloApocalypse & 8-Bit guy here too.

The only one not listed is Tobuscus because he's pretty much trash at this point.

CNLohr's non euclidean ray tracing engine is pretty awesome. What do you mean 'inspiration'.

Oh boy, I follow way more people than I'd like to admit. Well, been a while I have this YouTube account and I followed a lot of people over the years so... yeah, have a non-exhaustive list of people I regularly watch as of lately and YouTube knows I'm watching them and keeps suggesting me again, both in English and French (also in Japanese and Russian and um... yeah). Lots of gaming, music, science and animated stuff.

Guiz and Jerome (en) (watch The Resellers, pretty nice fictional series about two guys with a gaming pawn shop and they feature pretty nice hardware hacks)
Le Jeu C'est Sérieux (fr) (same guys as above but in French and they do let's plays, things about collectioning games and the hacks they feature on The Resellers)
Angry Video Game Nerd (en) (of course)
Joueur du Grenier (fr) (France's AVGN)
Testeur Alpha (fr) (Québec's Joueur du Grenier)
BenzaieTV (fr) (Hard Corner, another interesting show about gaming)
Luduc (fr) (the convention journalist. Pretty nice guy.)

DJ Omnimaga (yo this guy makes pretty nice music check this out also something about walruses I don't understand >.>)
SilvaGunner (he makes very high quality rips)
InklingBear
331Erock
PelleK
Jonathan Young
Rob Scallon
FamilyJules7X

Vsauce (all three of them?)
Numberphile

(and now I'm too lazy to add more of this list so I'll probably do that later lol)

I see some of my favorite channels here, i thought you guys only liked pewdiepie and beauty stuff.
Some of my favorite channels are :
Game Sack
My favorite channel so far (with Joueur du grenier)
Seriously, it's super great and i love the format of their videos.
It's a retro video game channel that basically reviews games with a certain theme (Games with Female Protagonists, Not in Japan, Left in the arcades...)

Game Dave
Another cool guy with great and funny videos, he reviews games and accesories.
It seriously needs moar views.

My life in gaming
I don't really care for their game reviews but i love their RGB series, which gives you advice on how to get the best picture out of consoles.

Rerez/Rerez 2
Lots of reviews about everything including movies based games, accesories, obscure games (sometimes not so ha)...
I definitively recommend this.

Obselete Geek
He mainly focuses on retro computers but his videos are gold ! Must watch

The obvious
Joueur du grenier
Cinemassacre (when a new AVGN episode gets released, don't care for Mike playing em)

The lesser known
Nightclub testing
RetroCore (his let's compare videos)
Rigg'd Games and his "Open Cart Surgery" series

Larry Bundy Jr also makes interesting videos, when he's active lol.

QuoteGuiz and Jerome (en) (watch The Resellers, pretty nice fictional series about two guys with a gaming pawn shop and they feature pretty nice hardware hacks)
Le Jeu C'est Sérieux (fr) (same guys as above but in French and they do let's plays, things about collectioning games and the hacks they feature on The Resellers)
That sounds interesting, sounds like channels for me, thanks juju.

AVGN is one I check quite often, but other than that I mostly watch random videos rather than specific channels anymore. There might be a few others I check more, though, but I can't think of anything at the moment. Most channels I check besides that are band channels.

Some update (31st July 2017):

Which ones do you, new and old members that haven't posted yet, know and watch?
Does anyone has some suggestions?

Currents:
Spoiler

Northernlion makes great Binding of Isaac and other indie game videos. Also streams thrice a week which are always hilarious, they play a variety of stuff there.
Tom Scott makes amazing engineering and science videos (Tom and Scott has the outtakes / behind the scenes stuff which is also cool)
Couple of Minecraft channels in there too.
Most of the other people are more minor channels that I don't check that often.

Tom Scott is the best yt channel imho
u/Strontium August 09, 2017, 05:02:30 AM
CodysLab - He does a lot of DIY stuff, like beekeeping, playing around with an old mine, and a large scale hydroponics system. I found him through his series where he tried building his own furnace.
Spoiler
YouSuckAtCooking - a vv funny cooking channel. I don't quite know how to describe it, but all of its content is insanely creative.
Spoiler
Clickspring - insanely well edited videos about manually creating clockwork related items in his home machine shop. The first series he did was on a clock, now he's working on recreating the Antikythera Mechanism as accurately as he can.
Spoiler
bigclive - The Ashens of Technology. Does lots of teardowns and investigates how all of the crap (and some not-crap) that lands in his hands works. Lots of schematics get drawn.
Spoiler
