Actually, I don't really know which one is faster than the other. IIRc we had a little speed increase when using the line stack.

For some reasons your demo didn't show up in your post the last time I checked this topic. http://codewalr.us/index.php?topic=138.msg3315#msg3315 Maybe you should put a copy in the first post because it seems that nobody have noticed it O.O

Anyway I'll try to find batteries and install it on my calc later. :)

Yeah I should. I'll put the Planet-Casio's download link, thus I'll only have one file to update.

If your calc is a SH4 one, the game won't work as I don't have a SH4 to test on it nor I know what to edit to make it compatible.

By the way you can also put a link in the downloads section (that leads to the Planète Casio file I mean). We don't allow small sites because they tend to disappear faster than the speed of light (see Casiopeia recently, for example), but large, established sites are fine.

And sorry to hear about SH4 compatibility. Maybe someone on Planète-Casio could help you modify the game. Is it open-source? I have a SH3 model, though (the one with no backlight), so it should not be a  problem for me.

I have an experimental SH3/4 version ath moment there. I'm just waiting for positive feedback.

EDIT : it works now. The game is SH3/SH4 compatible.

Awesome. What changes in particular did you need to do? I'm gonna get batteries, figure out how to get FA124 to work again and then give this a try later. :)

EDIT Ok I finally got it to send to the calc and I like it so far. For some reasons the frame rate is slightly lower on calc, though. Is it because the screen has a lower refresh rate? It still runs at the same speed as in the screenshots. Also there is no highscore. Do you plan to add that?

So, the changes are simple : I found back the edits I need to do to MonochromeLib and KeyDown to make them use the arch independant hardware location pointer routines. Yeah, the framerate seems lower but with the screen remanency I think it makes up for it (or just use FTune to overclock your calc). Highscores are planned. I just wait until I get back on file I/O routines.

Aah ok that explains things, then. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Thanks, I should get back on programming once I stop toying with my new comp, so you'll have to wait until school is back for me! :p

EDIT : I just tweaked the menu to add animations and to change the enter key from EXE to Shift to avoid moving the hands. Now I really should work on the IO functions...

Does it use Shift now? I forgot if using Shift in C programs was possible. On Z80 calcs you can use 2nd and ALPHA in BASIC/ASM/Axe programs as you see fit.

Ah ok thanks for the info. I was wondering because most PRIZM games use F1 instead of SHIFT and I once got told it was because using SHIFT is either impossible or very hard.

It's hard to use with GetKey which act with Shift and Alpha like the rest of the calc (alpha + key= letter and so on). If you read the key matrix you will be able to use all the keys without having to deal with modes.

Aah I see. Does it mean in BASIC you could use multiple keypresses by pressing arrows plus Shift, for example (if you wanted to run instead of walking)?
