Don't like it? Y u no root and remove :P

Can't put custom ROMs on it. If you do, the device bricks itself. Thanks, Verizon.

DJ Omnimaga

Is that intentional from Verizon? O.O There was speculation that Nspire OS 3.9.1 did something like that, but we haven't heard again about it.

Duke "Tape" Eiyeron

The autodestruction sequence? And yeah, this could be intentionnal if the custom bootloader asks for a special ROM, yeah you could end screwing youself up.

I don't think it bricks it, but there is a counter, which if set to 0x1 will stop the device from receiving any hardware service.

Snektron

Ah yeah i've heard about that, the famous flash counter.
But that's Samsung though.

My Samsung phone have a counter as well, I think it's now at 5 xD If the counter is not at 0, tech support will just refuse to look at it, although there's a way to reset the counter if you need it.

Juju

I'm pretty sure there is. At least for some models. Do a quick search on the XDA forums and there should probably be one.
