Caleb Hansberry

Hi, I made a few art thingys that I liked and wanted people to praise me for :P also if you want to explain how I could do it better that'd be good.

Weird little animation of a hopping talking triangle:

Drawing I made with an off-brand graphics tablet in some off-brand software it came with:

Made in the same program but weirder:
  • Calculators owned: TI-82, TI-83, TI-83+SE, TI-84+SE, TI-85, TI-89, TI-99/4A
  • Consoles, mobile devices and vintage computers owned: HP Portable Plus 110, Toshiba T3100, Toshiba T5200, GRiD 1660, TI-99/4A, Apple IIgs, and much more than I can list here

Dudeman313

Nice! *Insert extra praise of choice here*
Why a triangle, though?
The 1st drawing looks awesome and far beyond my own skillz. :P
The second one is funny. I like the sheep. Is the man a stroke of randomness? :P

This also reminds me to update my own art thread...
  • Calculators owned: TI-84 PCE
  • Consoles, mobile devices and vintage computers owned: Android O Phone
Does this qualify as a signature?
The answer is "Sure."

DJ Omnimaga

Wow, that first anime drawing is impressive Caleb O.O. Also the 2nd one is kinda interesting, due to the effects.

Thanks :D (@DJ too)
I don't know why a triangle o_o it was inspired by a drawing I made when I was like 8... kids are all high af, amiright?
Yeah the man is so random, he's even anti-aliased badly :) the drawing started with the guy and grew in complexity so he's the most basic/whimsical part.

I'll post the picture I drew a long time ago... actually it could have been my brother but it's kind of amusing :D

I remember doing drawings similar to that style way back when I was kid.

That is pretty amusing. "Leafy?"  :D
I never did stuff like that... :P
I mostly just drew stuff like that when I was <7, but then I came to the revolution, which sparked my interest in all things tech. But that's a story for the story thread.

This is gonna sound really weird, but:

Spoiler: ShowHide

Is that an older version of Cailluo wearing pjs and a semi-awesome cape?

Sorry if that sounded offensive...

Caleb you should make that guy drawing look like the last pic of your first post in terms of style. I wonder if it would look cool?

No, it's not offensive, it's just kinda the way it looks :)

Like the last one? Hmm maybe I'll look into it. Just so you guys know that guy is Saitama from One Punch Man:

Here's a digital painting I made of Mt. Fuji:

Yeah by last one I meant art similar to
colors.

Also that last pic looks very great :)

So, I next need to create a background of a town for a project. Here is a sketch I have so far:

The issue is, how can I move from a rough draft to a finished picture like in a generic anime city scene? Any ideas? I'm using GIMP and Toon Boom Animate.

Hm I can't help, sadly, but you would probably need to trace it, like Keoni29 did once with his hand-drawn Walrii in 2014. However, I have to say this looks pretty cool actually. Also I like the choice of old downtown style drawing. :D

It has issues but I kind of like it. I especially had issues drawing the hands, haha!
