Heya and welcome to the forums. What brings you here by the way? I am curious what are your interests in general or if you like to create things like art or softwares? I hope you enjoy your stay :3=

Jiahao Lee

English is not my native language, so sorry for any spelling or grammatical error in advance.

Hello. ds here. I am a senior high student and my major device is TI-92+, it's also a m68k device anyway.

I code in C/C++ and Java, and I'm learning X86 assembly and m68k assembly recently, so hopefully I could get inspired here.

Because I have to prepare for NCAToC (National College Admission Test of China, something like SAT but 1000 times harder and cannot use any calculator dude!), so I may have few time posting here.

Um... I don't know what to say here. So let's just stop here. That's it. Thanks for paying attention. *white_noise* *speaker_cut*

Heya Jiahao Lee and welcome to the forums :3=

Don't worry about your English, it's pretty good. Most CodeWalrus members speak French or Dutch as native language but we also got a few German users. Glad to see another TI-68K user here. It would be cool if you could make some programs for the TI-92+ with your m68k assembly or C knowledge and I wish you good luck (you can always ask questions if you need any help).

Hopefully you can eventually find some extra free time to program and post. See you around :)

Welcome here! We don't have a lot of 68k users here, but feel free to post about it! And good luck for your test ^_^

Dream of Omnimaga

I actually have a TI-89, which can run some TI-92+ programs and games, but not all of them, due to the screen size. I also got a TI-92 but it's the non-plus model.

Welcome on Codewalrus !
I also got a TI-89 Titanium and while it's not too bad, it is clear that the Ti-nspire CX is superior in every way...

Also, since you are chinese, i feel the urge to do this...

Let's get Codewalrus harmonised :

Dream of Omnimaga

The main advantage the TI-89/92+/v200 calcs have over the Nspire series is that they can be programmed in ASM and C without any hacks and they feature an enhanced version of TI-Nspire BASIC (with getKey, sprites, everything). The Nspire was designed to replace other models, though (which failed with z80 calcs) so it took over.

Now now let's not troll :P (besides, politics should probably go in their own topics like with the Paris attack)

Hi! Finally someone else that's Chinese :D
I don't live in China anymore though, and I lived in Beijing anyways :P

Dream of Omnimaga

I remember back in 2010-12 Omnimaga had a lot of Chinese members who now live in USA and even got members from China later. Many Coders of Tomorrow were born in China or had parents from there. But they're not active anymore since long ago. I wonder if at one point we will get another influx of Chinese users?

I dunno, my friends in China aren't interesting in coding (I think) so I don't think I'll try to spread this to them.

Besides, they get annoyed when I try to type English to them and I type chinese at something like 1 wpm :P

Lol I see. Actually there is a Chinese calc forum at http://cncalc.org but I have to use Google Translate.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that :P

I think it was linked in Omnimaga IRC sometime ago. My problem is that reading Chinese with small spacing gives me headaches (plus I lost track of the lines sometimes). And also as I said, I type Chinese much slower than English.

Dream of Omnimaga

I don't think it was but it was posted a few times on the forums by Chinese users. The site was cited a lot on TI-PLanet and I believe those two sites are affiliates. I am curious if CnCalc would be interested in affiliating with us, but we kinda ran out of affiliates space <_<.

There was also SCalc for a while, but it seems to have shut down :(
