Anyone using Discord here? It's like IRC and Telegram, but with voice channels. Started using it a few time ago when a few groups I'm on on Skype started getting bored of it.

Seems cool. Is it client server based or peer-to-peer? (Can i run a personal server, that is.) Anyway i should try it out sometime but for now ts seems fine.

I've been using Discord for a while, and it's pretty good. It's interface is quite user friendly and it's voice quality seems to be better than Skype, even though it seems to send significantly less data.
It's still quite new though, and you do occasionally run into glitches so you have to completely restart it, but it is updated regularly so most of the glitches will probably be fixed soon.

Sadly, I've never been into using skype and all of that stuff...

Necropost, if anyone is interested now that it's more of a thing. It has voice channels!

I heavily recommend linking the main text channel to IRC, tho, for activity. I can't voice chat for now but I got Discord.

We're testing out a Discord-IRC bridge. Have fun.

Discord is superior to skype.
Pros:
Dont have to install client.
Better UI
Group chat system is easy to understand
Cons:
none???

Can't wait until both IRC and Discord are officially linked.

Also Skype is garbage lol. It used to be ok, but now it's almost impossible to enjoy using. The classic client lags a lot when reloading old messages (10 seconds freeze) and the new client can't even be minimized to system tray, so it can be closed by accident, and it's bulky.

Skype also uses up lots more bandwidth than Discord. My crappy internet could barely handle Skype on its own, much less Skype + a game. :P

In my case, calls always disconnected while in game. >.<

Also @Juju You should make WIRC hide the bot nick like with Telegram
