Has anyone used one of these? (it's an ultra-sonic motion detector for data logging / distance, velocity and acceleration)

An arduino and some sensors will do the same thing for like 10$ ... >_>

I've used the CBL/CBL2/LabPro a lot. You can use the CBR2 either standalone or via a CBL-compatible interface, as shown in the picture (though the picture is of the original CBR). I can tell you some things about how to use it through an interface but I don't know how they work standalone. Look in the manuals, there may be information there.

Dream of Omnimaga

I never had the chance to try the CBR2 nor the CBL before, but my two TI-83+ and my TI-83+SE came with the CBL/CBR apps. I remember someone made a game for the CBR. Does anyone know if the TI-76.Fr, TI-82 Stats, TI-83 and TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition are compatible?

They operate using lists already in calculator format. The CBR2 should use a modified TI-85 link protocol if it works like a CBL/CBL2, but it depends on what calculator is connected.

does anyone know how the native list format works or have a converter? i looked at one in hex but it doesn't look straightforward to me

*edit*
