I'll leave the 3D walrii to someone else with more Blender experience. :P

I got a 3d walrii ability I think, it will certainly be time consuming though.

@CKH4, it would be great if you could do the missing :walrii: sprites for me :)

Actually, I think -objectively- that the result won't be as much good as its profile sprite. Your character, I assume, has been conceived and drawn when planning only a side project, not as a whole character.

Oh and whatever, do as you want, I want to see the result. do your best! :p

Yeah it definitively won't live up to the original, since the original was not designed to face up and down. The sprite facing up might not be a problem but the one facing down might look weird. It was designed to be both the site mascot and the main character of one of my HP Prime games. Ideas for RPGs only came up a while later.

EDIT: First attempt at facing down. Definitively not as good as left and right. I made one version with the legs not moving at the same time, but it might be inconsistent with the left/right sprites:

It really has to fit in 24x24 though (including enough space for the wings if someone wants to add them)

Maybe move his flippers a bit up and make the body a bit bigger? I think it's going in the right way though

Actually, you did a good work there. I like the shape you gave to it. ;)

Thanks, and yeah I think the main issue is the body looks smaller than when he faces left/right. My concern about making it larger was that his flippers would look weird, though.

That's not really a big problem. It looks fine. That's all what I was worried about.
