Contests / Re: August 2016 project award tie-breaker poll
September 17, 2016, 02:45:46 PMQuote from: DJ Omnimaga on September 17, 2016, 05:48:50 AMAre staff allowed to vote?
The results for the August 2016 Monthly Project Award survey are now public at https://codewalr.us/1568 , but like with the June poll, both the following projects are tied with the highest amount of vote:
(TI-84+CE) CEmu
(Computer) nKaruga
We encourage people to vote again This poll will run for three days, meaning that it ends on September 20th 2016. Due to a SMF 2.0.11 glitch with the poll system, it's possible that the results go public by themselves before the poll ends, if not right from the start. If the poll ends up being tied on expiry date then it will go into sudden death mode, meaning as soon as the tie is broken at the same time a staff notices, the poll will be closed (*pokes @Cumred_Snektron @Streetwalrus @Juju @aeTIos @Ivoah in case this happens on Sept 20th*)

I never checked the Pebble much but I think some members have one. I'm not sure, though.

So, this was supposed to be a little arg/treasure hunt type game. The first post said something along the lines of "go to arg.ivoah.net" which would bring you to a site that said something like "Email arg@Ivoah.net for the next step". Nobody emailed me though, so I guess this is dead. arg.ivoah.net isn't up anymore.

August 06, 2016, 02:51:08 PMQuote from: c4ooo on August 06, 2016, 11:59:22 AMI asked zep about the possibility of porting PICO-8 to the Nspire and he said that it wouldn't be possible, so I'm sure a CE port would be out of the question unfortunately.
I wonder if a pico8 emu on CE would be possible? Given the large amount of games on pico8 games, such an emulator will open a lot of gaming possibility. If not then maybe an emulator of some nintendo consoles would be possible on the CE?

August 02, 2016, 11:56:22 PMQuote from: DJ Omnimaga on July 26, 2016, 07:41:16 AMI'm glad to see KOS dev happening! Looks like a great port, and hopefully the first of many such developments for the KOS ecosystem.
KOS-Tunnel Game
While this is just a Tunnel clone, it is probably one of, if not the first KnightOS game that isn't a port of an existing TI-OS game. Could KnightOS game development be taking off? It's also a fun game.

Gaming / Re: Sega Saturn cracked after 20 years
August 02, 2016, 04:44:30 AMQuote from: DJ Omnimaga on August 01, 2016, 12:44:40 AMIt's great to see that even years after popularity with the general public has died, hackers are still working and playing with old systems.
I'm a few weeks late on this but I just discovered that the Sega Saturn has been hacked after 20 years:
http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/saturn-optical-drive-emulator.62274/
That makes me wish the Sega Saturn was more popular outside Japan. It never really did well over here and now it's kinda expensive. Also I heard that finding consoles that still works fully is hard (for example, your game saves were saved on the Sega Saturn itself, but the save content was kept alive with a backup battery like in old NES carts, so if the battery is dead then your saves are gone).
I am curious if anyone will attempt making homebrew games once this is polished?
