It almost ended all in late April and at another point in the past, but I finally managed to have stuck around for 15 years. July 4th 2001 was the day I got my first graphing calculator: a TI-83 Plus. I always dreamed of making games at the time and that dream was finally about to come true. When I started programming that beast, I was just 4 days away from turning 15, which is around when most people start calculator programming, and it's hard to believe I spent half of my life in the TI community in some ways.
Thanks to those who helped making this possible :3=
The first programmable i had was the TI-84 Plus.
I had a lot of fun playing games on it but one day, it broke.
THE END
I no right, such an amazing story.
But I don't get it : where's part 2 ?
I'm already hungry for more !
Rare are community leaders that sticks around for 15 years. Now to another 15 years?
15 years ago, I was... well... 3 months old ? O.O

@Dudeman313 and
@princetonlion.tibd weren't even born I think. :P

Part 2 is supposed to be on September 1st, the birth of Omnimaga, while part 3 is Sept 22nd, the birth of Illusiat RPG series.

Shh no spoilers >_>
I think it is a given, anyway, considering they happened so soon after i joined. <_<
Yeah, I was still quite inexistent about 15 years ago. :P
By the way
@Dudeman313 , I noticed you have been much less active in the last few months, especially recently. I hope it isn't because you planned to stay in the TI community 30 times shorter than me O.O
Umm...no, I just haven't really had the time for this place between all my other stuff to do. :(
Ah I see. I was a bit worried because most people who joins the TI community while they are 10-12 years old quit after just 6 months or so D:
It's amazing how fast time goes by!
Thanks for all the amazing work you have done over your time Kev!
Personally, I think the years that went on the fastest were the last 5, especially after I stepped down from Omni. Not because I stepped down but because I had been around for a decade already and for some reasons life seems to move on faster after we turn 25 or so, even when I have a lot of moments of boredom. Thanks a lot
@tr1p1ea . Also I am glad I first met you on Maxcoderz way back in September 2003.
On a side note the chronology of my TI calculator releases is located at http://tistory.wikidot.com/kevin-ouellet . It of course excludes the shovelware that I made back in 2002 (I mention Omnimaga Pack, though :P), else the list would be too cluttered.

I wasn't, and I think Dudeman is younger than me (maybe? I may recall that conversation wrong)
Yeah he is. You were the same age when joining Omni but you joined in 2014.
Also I feel even older now that I am 30 and did calc stuff for 15 years.
@Art_of_camelot might probably discovered wwha I am talking about several
decades years ago :P
I joined Omni 2 years ago, right?
I forgot :P
Yeah I think you joined around May or June 2014.
BTW, it's amazing how the community changed between 2010 and now, so much happened :P
Indeed, but it changed much more prior 2010.
Yeah. I was snooping around MaxCoderz long before I knew CodeWalrus existed. Change happens.
Wait, do you mean you started checking calc sites like 5-6 years ago? O.O
