engrish in old games

So I was making a screenshot of Illusiat 12 earlier and I almost cringed at the intro, because back in 2005, this was the game I spent the most effort translating to English (the French version came out in 2002) and I thought I did a good job. But looking back 11 years later, I kinda lol'ed because the intro is literally butchered like in some memorable NES classics. Here is the intro: -Black mage, it's time to name yourself.-<character naming seque...

(WARNING: Spoilers) The Reign of Legends maps

Some comments about this one: If there is ever a remake or update to this game, then you will get an item at some point in the game that lets you teleport to any village or close, because about 50% of the game is going back and forth from one region to another right now. Also, the Illusiat 1-12 maps will be in one single topic.

Car adapter/USB for video game consoles

Want to play your video game consoles on the go ? Car adapters is one of the best way to do so !Video game consoles usually accept DC 5V (with some variations depending on the console) so using an AC inverter is usually a bad idea because there will be some lossesand you'll drain your battery faster. (or at least you will be less efficient)Another use for car adapters is when using a battery backup powered by solar panels : Solar panels usually work in 12V 5DC. (they can be put in series and tha...

Super Smash Bros Brawl running at 120 FPS

The Gamecube and Wii only support up to 60 hz.In fact, the first video game console to support 120 hz is the Xbox One S & X and only one game supports it.However thanks to cheat codes, hacks and Dolphin, it's possible to run some games at 120 FPS.I can safely say that it does make a difference, even though it is minor but it's great enough that it's hard to go back to 60 fps...Here's a video recording of Brawl running at 120 FPS (Youtube doesn't support 120 fps) :[url=" ...

My predictions about the Nintendo Switch 2 years after...

So a few years ago, i had made a post in the Switch thread about the Nintendo's Switch future....I'm glad to say that i wasn't fully accurate.Nintendo did some changes to their policies, which explains why some of my predictions were wrong. For example : Indie devs starts releasing games for it and they also complain about the tedious approval process, which has not changed much. They did end up smoothing out the process of releasing indie games on their platform, so much in fact tha...

Post your game purchases and collection!

Ok so I didn't have time to do this until now, but here is now a video game pickups thread. I thought that the previous title led to confusion, though, so I made it clearer.Anyway my latest find is Bases Loaded 3 for the NES in complete condition (although the foam inside the box is missing). I also got Robocop 3 for the SNES and Drakengard 2 a while ago and soon I am planning to get an Xbox One. I think my bro might get SSBU but he's not sure yet.

Roblox, but the details

I started this topic because the site warned me about posting in a topic that has been inactive for over a year...Anyways, Roblox is an interesting beast. Lots of people think it is a game in and of itself. But this is not the case. I consider it to be a game platform (like Steam) and a game engine (like Unreal). It uses Lua scripting like the TI-sanctioned Nspire script editor. One of the teachers at my school says that Lua allows for-profit closed-source modifications to its code, which is pro...

Cuisine Royale

I wonder if anyone here is into games like PUBG? Because recently there is a new Battle Royale game called Cuisine Royale that went in public alpha on Steam and I was surprised by how polished it is. If you prefer PUBG style to Fortnite but can't afford the former, then you might have more bang for your buck with Cuisine Royale, IMHO, for the following reasons:Despite the name implying that weaponry might be 100% kitchen-related rather than World War 2, you're actually fighting with guns in ther...

to the sound of that thing I have to say, though, that I had one of those as kid until it started reboot-looping on almost every power ON attempt. It was fun and better than Tiger Electronics handhelds but it made the Atari 2600 version of Pac Man sound great.
