WalrusIRC sometimes won't send text. This started happening yesterday.

I doubt such a bug would appear spontaneously, it might be your connection to CW being a little unstable.

Dream of Omnimaga

Strange because before it would eventually send. I guess my connection just spazzed out for longer than usual. Also, what surprises me is that normally, when my connection spazzes out, WIRC text sending becomes grayed out, saying reconnecting. But this time it didn't...

If the message eventually sent it was a short enough disconnect for the TCP socket to remain alive. I've had irc connections survive through router reboots.

Oh, that might explain things, then. By the way this happened twice via 3G and once with Subway restaurant wi-fi

3G and public Wi-Fi are very unstable, that's why.

Dream of Omnimaga

I am surprised that 3G is unstable, considering how much they charge for it. But again, maybe it has something to do with how fast it is? But yeah it's not very stable. When I have my work breaks at 3 PM or 6 PM, 3G disconnects about three times for a few minutes. It might be due to the coverage being poorer in that area, but it's not too far from where I live, where it's fine.

It depends on signal strength and even when your phone says you have a perfect signal, it's weaker than WiFi since you're further away from the antenna. Mobile networks have the worst latency ever for this reason, and there are spikes.

Dream of Omnimaga

I see. I guess the antenna is very close to my home and some places I go to, because my Internet is 30 mpbs, yet on 3G I can download anything instantly there. Strangely, my work place is only 8 minutes away from home by foot. But it's surrounded by two empty lots and a golf field.
