There is a maximum amount of posts limit in the randomness section. Since CodeWalrus currently has 32000 posts, then the current limit is 1600 posts. Above that the section becomes read-only until it gets well under that 5% limit. This is to ensure that most CodeWalrus activity is constructive and relevant. It can also be closed prematurely if it gets over-used over a short period of time and clutters the Recent Posts list.

This is also why topics in the spam section requires a moderator to manually approve them, so that people don't start topics such as Word Association and Count to 8000.
