What do i use to make sprite on the PC ?

I am having trouble making Sprite on my windows 10 what software do i use to make sprites.

Please HELP !!!

Personally, I use GIMP. Though you have to fidget around a little with settings and whatnot. There's also aseprite which you can even get on steam now. That one is purely for pixel art and sprites and has useful tools like layers and animation playback. I've also seen Spriter suggested a lot, but I haven't used it

Gimp is nice, but I personally find it lacking in certain featuries I need want.

I usually use Adobe PhotoShop or some online services, but it really depends on the target platform.


If it's just a quick little 8bit sprite like a :walrii:, then GIMP is fine. If it's going to be any more complicated than that, then Photoshop is my weapon of preference.
