Thanks to TI, we've been able to try OS 5.3 in advance and so we've made this unofficial changelog for you, although you've probably seen some of those things in our recent news

1) Homescreen:
Improved program launching:

archived programs directly
assembly programs directly
sub-programs (asm and/or archived) OK

2) Programming and editor:
New :f31: :f15: menu with options:

Launch the current program
Undo erase
Inserert blank line above
Cut current line
Copy current line
Paste line below
Insert a "comment" (watch out: " inserted, = a string)
Quit

3) Mathematics:
Textbook-like render of piecewise functions

Ability to input related sequences of different types

Application Transfrm (Transformation Graphing) :

Reminder of the graphs' precisions (resolution): 3 for animations, 1 otherwise
Y1 and Y2 only are available for the app (instead of all)
11 equation templates in the editor:

- A(X-B)3+C

7) TI-SmartView CE 5.3:

Improved emulation speed(but low FPS = jerky graphs)
Saving/Loading of emulation state
Ability to update the emulator's OS

In conclusion, some very good things

It's available very soon, for the 2017-2018 Back-to-school season !

Running programs from archive on non-68K/ARM calcs... Now that's something I wish we had years ago.

also fair play to @Alvajoy123 for pretending to have made a working linux command line thing on his calc, I thought that was pretty cool - and, fair enough, it did require some skill to know which image to post. But - it could have happened by chance

I actually think that @Alvajoy123 is pretty cool, although he does have an unusual face shape.

@kotu Juju and c4ooo are refering to @Alvajoy123 abuse of the post rating system. We will be discussing this matter with staff to see if his vote privileges get removed entirely or not and we will erase all downvotes he did.

Nah he only started it after he got warned for trying to make us write his games/software for him and being rude so he's doing it as revenge tactic

As proof, he downvoted one of c4ooo's post twice and he downvoted the first post of this topic as well

I didnt even know the same person could downvote/upvote the same post twice O.o

Anyways, i am quite curious as to why TI decided to all of a sudden put a lot of effort into the OS (Especially the running archived programs feature). More publicity i guess?
