oh yes
oh no
i'm afraid so
ok.
yes. it sucks, doesn't it?? why were we told to use floating point numbers in the first place when they don't even exist? it is awful.
guess you have a point (https://books.google.ca/books?id=sS7aPtrUuw4C&pg=PA66&lpg=PA66&dq=floating-point+numbers+aren't+real&source=bl&ots=-hi2VW_jsT&sig=DdOaozHr03OlNzBXlgcFJLLw8nQ&hl=fr&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiPnrbAh6rUAhWg3oMKHXKBAR4Q6AEIQDAD#v=onepage&q&f=false)

they do
There's one in this post.
.
could that post be the famous "fake news" Trump warned us about?
(Juju's post, not kotu's)
an actual real live floafting point? no way.
Shouldn't this go in randomness? :P
Not sure where it really should be but the article in question comes from here... a very valuable resource of information for programmers...

*edit*
perhaps this is a good oppurtunity to started a 'recommended programmers books' section?
Well yeah, not they aren't real as in 'they don't exist' ... rather they aren't a true representation of a number in reality since their precision is finite.
That does beg the question, are any numbers actually 'real' ... or just something mankind thought up to describe the world around them?
do you mean is anything real?
this is ^
