Hello!
I was having the idea of allowing some certain, trusted people (The original 5, Elite Coders and Moderators) to use javascript-free HTML in posts to allow them to format their posts better.
There are plugins / mods which strip any Javascript and object tags from the HTML.

I hope you all like the idea and accept it.

Cheers!

Well, the feature is already there, we just hardly use it. Only admins can use it, though.

Yeah I hoped trusted non-admins like moderators and elite coders can use it.

That would be an interesting feature to have, as long as it's only enabled for special groups. Else it can get out of control fast, and contrary to popular belief, it's still possible to get a virus (or at least a virus warning) just by visiting a web page using modern browsers, as I witnessed on CalcHaven's board via the Webring script pop-ups a few months ago. And people can run scripts like the rickroll page anyway. I would say that the Elite coders, moderators, admins and other special groups should be allowed to use it.

It would have to be a SMF mod, though. I wonder if there is any on SMF website?

Was this inspired by me asking for it in irc earlier? Anyway I think that this would be an incredibly useful feature but I would only use it to embed codepen stuff and to format long posts.

I guess only the last of the mods is interesting at all.

Yeah I didn't really read the descriptions, just picked the two with the possibly helpful titles.
