Dream of Omnimaga

Here are some Reuben Quest stuff I did in 2004-05 and more recently. However, this topic currently misses some images I posted before on Omni since they are attachments and I try to avoid linking directly to Omni from here until this site existence gets leaked and I was too lazy to re-upload everything. But here is some of the sprites stuff below:

Ah good to see your 8x8 rendition of Reuben so I know he actually wears that hat. I promised LDStudios that I'd try to make him some 16x16 full color reuben sprites so yeah
ceci n'est pas une signature

pimathbrainiac

Thanks for the spritesheets and such! These will really help with nReuben.
Well, I'm bach here too!

I thought he would reuse 2x scaled copies of the color tiles above? But yeah the color 8x8 Reuben is a modified version of AoC's Axe Reuben sprite. I had a walking version somewhere, though.

Nice sprites as usual DJ. I didn't really keep up with the thread on Omni so it's nice to see them all in one place.

Dream of Omnimaga

I actually put all of them in the first post on Omni :P. There were more too since I didn't include attachments this time (they'll be included once there are indications on Omni that this site exists, although whoever admins img.ourl.ca or monitors Omnimaga traffic leaving their site might have some clues)

lol Streetwalrus. I doubled the scaling of the map image for easier use in translation to mappy. I am using the 16x16 sprites because it's faster than scaling.

Lol img.ourl.ca is hosted on sorunome.de so no problem here. :P
True, although I recall one Omni admin was moderator on it for a while, right? (Deep Thought IIRC)

Also how large are the graphics on-calc if they are 16x16? Would they be 8 bit color depth like xLIBC? (since they use xLIBC palette)

They would be 16 bit (R5G6B5) depth, because I'm using n2DLib. Actually I might just use 8x8 and scale them to make it easier on me, because 16x16 is 4 times the size, iirc.
Well, I'm bach here too!

Dream of Omnimaga

Ah ok, and yeah the sprites above are 8x8 256 colors, so in fact yours would be 8 times larger. On the HP Prime I'll have to stick with 16 bit colors+alpha transparency sadly, but since it supports scaling I can just stick with the 8x8 graphics.

Also, I located my color animated Reubens and here they are :D

Cool beans! The more sprites, the better!

Dream of Omnimaga

Thanks. :D I would have implemented this in Reuben CSE but sadly was limited in sprite space. I decided to make that sprite a few days ago in case I do an HP Prime version and also the fact Nspire versions were in the works. :)

Deep Thought wrote the uploader, idk if someone else than Soru moderates it.

Dream of Omnimaga

Ah right, I forgot he wrote it. That said, the uploader is hosted on Soru server so maybe he decided to moderate it alone.
