Glad you have a CE now. Is the general system any less laggy than the CSE? Menu scrolling and rendering mainly?

Yup, the 8 bits mode. This looks like the fx-7400g where the screen only shows like 4 or 6 lines at once.
So, was the picture to show that you got it in 8-bit mode, or were you actually going to show us that prgmTEST thing?
I think he wanted to show signs that he's now learning C for the 84+CE. Btw I still wonder how the TI-OS looks like in 1, 2 and 4 bits mode...

Can't Textlib change your bit mode, though? I think I saw something in the readme file.
Wait, I don't recall seeing that, but I'll check again. I doubt it can, though, because DrDnar said thr lib was oriented towards homescreen colors
Oh, just looked thru it now. It only does a BitTest thing. It doesn't actually change it. :-|
