And same here, I don't like death metal because of the lack of melody. Thrash metal (eg Metallica) is the lowest I can go. :P

I can understand that. Yet, there are some death metal bands with lots of melodies:

Indeed, these sound great, I'd listen to that kind of music if it weren't for the screaming/growling. I really hate that. I also hate weird autotune effects. If the vocals don't sound human, it often means I won't like it.

Oh nice I need to get that Foo Fighter EP. I wonder if they'll play some songs from it at their next concerts?

Also lol nice MLP song. It seems that they re-used the intro from Black Winter Night :P

I wonder if it was made using softwares? Because the guitar reminded me of some FL Studio metal songs. But it might be due to the keyboard being loud, giving the impression that the guitar is less realistic.

Didn't know Petra? They have a lot of good stuff. They lasted 30 years and always changed their sound with the times; from southern rock in '72, to disco in '79, synthpop in '85, arena rock in '88, to hard rock in '03. I especially enjoy Beat The System for an electronic sound and Beyond Belief for a hard rock sound.

Found an old band "September" and enjoyed their song "Line Are Falling" (and maybe more than that I liked that album art, like seriously sci-fi 80s!):

@Caleb Hansberry, you should check out the band called Koto. I think they make awesome spacesynth or synthpop music too. By the way Abbsynth sounds nice too. This is one of their most known songs:

Also Caleb Petra sounds awesome, I'll have to check out more of their stuff at one point. They remind me a bit of Crumbacher. Beyond Belief also got that nice 80's rock sound.
