I too think that VR headsets are both cooler and more useful, in my position as a middle schooler. But I think a hybrid of the two devices would be nice, maybe an Oculus with a camera on it, so that we can have both AR and VR on the same device.
The latest Vive developement edition has a camera, which apparently is fully opened to the SDK, so AR is technically possible with it. It's only a single camera though, so it can't record 3D so AR will look a bit weird with it, even if you convert the image to 3D again since that conversion is never perfect.
Yeah, it should use the 3DS camera setup. Or, any other camera that can record in 3D. Actually, I don;t think it would  be hard to add a camera to the Oculus. If I had experience with this kind of stuff (and if I had an Oculus) I would try to do this.

If I had a HoloLens, I'd make a Holo-Pokemon and a 3D 1st person Mario!
I''d love to see that. That reminds me, Pokemon GO! comes out this year  ;D

Okay, I've tried asking for sprites here before, but I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but can someone design some 8x8/16x16 monochrome/grayscale car sprites? Also maybe something that resembles a soccer goal (can probably be 2x as wide as the cars)? And a ball, too...
For reference, I making a Rocket League clone.

I just noticed that the mine looks a bit like a black hole  O.O
Speaking of the mines, will there ever be a blowing up animation? Maybe not on the Atari because of its limitations, but if you haven't stopped working on the original it would be cool to see the walrii get blown up.
Well, that made me sound like a psycho. But you get what I mean.

I think that  this one of those cool things that I'll never get.
Same here.
But if I did have one, I'd like to see a game similar to Holo-Chess from Star Wars (and with a name like that why wouldn't there be Holo-Chess game?)

Eventually, similar devices will be both better and cheaper (or silently disappear like the Google Glass)
Since I don't really have a use for a hololens now, becoming an early adopter isn't worth it for me.
Besides, I'd much rather have a VR headset like the occulus or the vive instead of an AR headset like the hololens. My graphics card isn't even close to being powerful enough for it, but both a capable graphics card and a VR headset is only about half the price of a hololens. But still, it won't be something for this year.

They added a bit of redstone, nothing more than redstone torches, lights, and the input devices (levers, buttons, etc)

The ones that I've tried are all fun (c4ooo, JWinslow23, and Unicorn). I wish that @JWinslow23 continued development for Wal-Rush on calc <_< still a lot of fun though
I haven't gotten to try Zampy's Quest because I don't on an HP Prime, which is a shame because I've been following that topic and waiting for it  to be released. But I do have the HP Prime Emulator, so if someone could tell me how to transfer the program to the emu, that'd be great.
Great job everyone
P.S. sorry semiprocoder, I don't have an Nspire or an Nspire emu so I won't be able to play yours  :'(

Looks fun  ... Can't wait until we (the rest of us) get a chance to play it   :P

Rather than cram a CSE into a Gameboy, how about I put the Gameboy into a CSE?
In Soviet Russia...
Maybe I'll find a GBC I can cram into a CSE... if I had money.
#43
Absolutely. You could also try and condense a CSE into the housing of a GBC, but then you have the problem of all of the buttons not being able to fit onto the thing.
#44
Ah I see  ;) So when/if you do this, are you going to map the A/B buttons to 2ndAlpha respectively, and so on for the other buttons?
#45
You probably could link it to a CSE, but programming it to recognize each other and perform actions is something different. And also, what would you even do with a GBC linked to a CSE  ???
You might also want to check out KermMartian's Gameboy camera connected to a CSE.
