I wanted this to be a thing. Whenever there's a pretty cool G-Doodle, post it here. Today, Valentine's Day, there are three Doodles.
Here's one:

And here's another:

And a third.

Are Google Doodles what they call Google custom banners? Anyway those looked kinda cool actually lol. But in the past they had static images that were really epic sometimes, usually in reference to a big technology milestone of the past or something.
Yup. In 2010, there was a GD in May that was actually a Pac-Man game. You can find it whenever you google "pac-man".
The google custom banners are amazing. The doctor who one had some game in it too, and recently there was one with a small game about peppers.
I liked the Beethoven one. It was a game where you put together notes of his songs by sound.

Leap Day, 2016! ;D
Hehe, nice one.

It's International Women's Day!
It's Clara Rockmore's 105th B-Day! :D
(http://www.google.com/logos/doodles/2016/clara-rockmores-105th-birthday-5705876574830592.2-hp.gif)
This one's also a game, but you'll have to go to Google (http://google.com) for that. :)
It seems gone now, unless it's because I'm browsing from a desktop PC in Canada? What was the game?
On a semi-off-topic note, the "zerg rush" easter egg still seems to work.

Article (http://abruzzo.tv/news/2016/03/11/google-celebrates-clara-rockmores-105th-birthday-with/) about the doodle.

Pac-Man Doode also still works.

Yeah, google has a lot of fun easter egg. Among those, the breakout is my favorite (do an image search for 'atari breakout')
Yeah I remember Breakout now. I forgot about it, probably because it didn't work in anything else than Chrome and Firefox at the time. Pac-Man on Google Maps was also amazing.
Google also has an entire blog/archive completely dedicated to their G. Doodles here. (http://www.google.com/doodles/)
It even has an entire section of interactive doodles specifically, so you can check that out here (http://www.google.com/doodles/?q=interactive), too.
Happy Spring!

To me, the "e" looks like it's thinking: <_< >_> "Mission accomplished."
Doodle 4 Google National Winner!

Quote from: GoogleIn 2015 we asked kids everywhere to doodle about "What makes me...me." Congratulations to the National Winner, Akilah Johnson.
See contest gallery.BTW, the doodle is called "My Afrocentric Life."
Holika Festival 2016.

There are other doodles for today, so far I've only been posting the "shown in US" doodles.
This obviously isn't from the US, but I just really liked the doodle. All I know about the actual festival is that you get to cover things with coloured powder. :w00t:
My Birthday! 13 at last! :w00t:

Here's the 120th Anniversary of the 1st Modern Olympic Games!
There are several of these, but here's one:

While this looks nice, I feel bad for people who were browsing Google from a 3G mobile data connection on that day. That GIF is 895 KB large >.<

Hrm. It used to. I don't have it anymore. :-|
And yeah, that GIF is pretty huge. Might be the reason why it wasn't shown on this part of the globe. :P
Earth Day!

SHouldn't an Earth Day one be pitch black or something, since we technically have to turn OFF all lights at 8 PM? :P

No, that's Earth Hour. Earth Hour is in March and Earth Day is in April.
There's an Earth Hour? ???
Also, there were several Earth Day doodles, but I decided to only post that one.
Oh ok. I thought they were the same thing, for some reasons.
Is Earth Hour a Canada thing? :P
I don't think so? According to Wikipedia it's worldwide and 7000 cities participates in it.
Today's doodle celebrates the 162nd birthday of Hertha Marks Ayrton, British scientist.
(not in Canada, though)
Hm nice. Also for some reasons Earth Day banners did not always show up in Canada, even if I put .com at the end of the URL instead of .ca.
I wonder why?

Happy Teacher's Day!
Woah, that one looks very cool O.O
The pencils in today's Google Doodle may lead some bizarre Benjamin Button backwards-aging type existence if the longer, newer pencil is leading shorter ones.
Or it is just to commemorate Teacher's Day.
What do you mean calcplays? I don't know who Benjamin Button is, other than that there's a movie called the Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
A brand new wooden pencil is at the maximum length it will ever be. Through general usage, it gradually whittles down to a point. Size decreases with time, inevitably. As SpongeBob SquarePants (a cartoon character) once remarked, "As my ideas grow, you shrink." In today's Doodle, however, the "teacher" pencil is longer than the "student" pencils. Growthwise, the short pencils have nowhere to go. Why would they learn? How could the clearly less utilized pencil be the leader of the group?
It will go away tomorrow, though, and something else will take the Doodle's place .
Oh right, true. :P Then maybe the Google Doodle doesn't make much sense if the leading pencil is the teacher, since it should have been shorter. :P
I see that now. Maybe Google has invented to growing pencil. :P
At least if we had growing pencils maybe this would reduce the amount of pencil beggars at school. <_<
Yeah. :D My teachers are always complaining about lending pencils and never getting them back.
But people would still loose pencils :P
Yeah true. Over here I think the issue is that some students have poor families and parents expect other students to just lend them new pencils and paper sheets >.<. Or some students might just do it because they're too lazy to refill their pencil/paper supply. >.<
Yeah. :P
Also, It's Yuri Kochiyama's 95th Birthday!
(https://www.google.com/logos/doodles/2016/yuri-kochiyamas-95th-birthday-5723472594468864-hp.jpg) (https://www.google.com/search?q=Yuri+Kochiyama&oi=ddle&ct=yuri-kochiyamas-95th-birthday-5723472594468864-hp&hl=en)
You can learn about her by clicking the image. :)
Interesting, I didn't know that Japan or Japanese people got involved into the african-american vs white relation improvement campaings back then.
Me neither. It's a very intriguing topic. :walrii:
It's Phoebe Snetsinger's 85th birthday! Again, click the image for more info.

So Twitter scared me today with fake pictures of an Hilary Clinton Google Doodle. It looked like Google had set their background to Hilary Clinton but in fact it was just a Youtube video thumbnail. But there was still some controversy about Google allegedly rigging the politics search results (I don't know if it's true). ANyway false alarm :P
I think she already pretty much won the Democratic primaries by winning California, though.
(inb4 off-topic political debate)
Isn't Trump winning it all instead? Most news seems to imply that he's 100% guaranted to win <_<
But again the news often like to cause hype about nothing with their sensationalism tactic. <_<
Juno reaches Jupiter!
(https://www.google.com/logos/doodles/2016/juno-reaches-jupiter-5164229872058368-hp.gif) (https://www.google.com/search?q=Juno+probe&oi=ddle&ct=juno-reaches-jupiter-5164229872058368-hp&hl=en)
I love the pixel art. :D ALso on that Jupiter topic I can't wait to see what they find there. :)
Yeah, me too. On a side note, has there been any plan at all to begin the search for Planet X?
I don't know, but I know that there is an adult-only shop franchise that has the same name in Quebec City so I lol'ed a bit at the Planet X name O.O

Over the time since this Doodle's publication, I have gotten a score of 80370. There is quite some room for improvement, with better use of combos and protection of hearts.
