As they would say, it's that time of the year again. In December, ticalc.org launches its Program of the Year, where all programs that made front page news on ticalc.org between December 1st and November 30th are eligible to participate. The POTY is split into multiple categories and this year, the first is the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus survey. We urge all of the CodeWalrus members, as well as members of the rest of the TI community to vote for your favorite program in the side bar of http://www.ticalc.org front page!
Here are the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus entries:
Axagon, by Matrefeytontias (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/462/46268.html)
Slova, by Hot Dog (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/462/46254.html)
The World's Hardest Game, by MateoConLechuga (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/464/46431.html)
The winner of each category will receive a badge with a special screenshot and be listed on ticalc.org's POTY page for POTY 2015. The badge usually looks like this on the file info page:

Hey, DJ Omnimaga, do you think I could borrow your time machine sometime? It would really come in handy. ;)

You would need to ask HappySoft for it. After all, they're the one who predicted Deng Xiaoping's death two years in advance. :P
I'm defenitely voting Axagon, i still have it on my calc :)
Yay, thanks o/
In my opinion, Axagon is so undeserving compared to The World's Hardest Game and Slova though :P I barely gave it two weeks' worth of work and that was it (quite glad I actually pulled it off though).
My only gripe about TWHG is that it was already made before, by Darl181, yet he barely got any attention on ticalc. But again, I don't think he ever uploaded it to ticalc.org, so that might not have helped him.

Color 84+ calc POTY surveys are now running! This year they have split CSE/CE into three categories: TI-BASIC, CSE ASM and CE ASM, and the first survey is for TI-BASIC:
Body of Evidence (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/462/46267.html)
Earth Impact! (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/461/46136.html)
First Fantasy: Mana Force (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/463/46383.html)
Science Friction (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/463/46323.html)
Zombie Apocalypse Part 1 (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/461/46147.html)
Zombie Apocalypse Part 2 (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/462/46259.html)
I wonder if once the three CSE/CE polls are done, there will be a poll for the three winning entries, like when 68K calcs had many entries?

I think all of the program links, except Final Fantasy, lead to Body of Evidence.
Oh, I fixed it now. My bad.
Also it looks like Portal Returns for CSE won by default since it's the only CSE ASM entry. COngrats MateoConLechuga :P
Ok so POTY 2015 now moves on to the TI-84 Plus CSE ASM category!

There is no CSE poll because there was only 1 CSE ASM program this year. But please vote as soon as possible since the poll will only run for a week.

Just voted. But, to clarify, it is the
CE ASM programs ;)

Should have put DovahCalc on ticalc <_<
You could always do it now for next year and port it to the CE in 8xp format with a computer tool to edit the font. :P
Yeah i still need to make an account to vote anyway :s
EDIT: On second thought, the dragon language is probably copyrighted by Bethesda. Oops

You shouldn't be able to copyright a language?!

You could just make it a custom font installer instead
True, but then i'd need to include some font creator too (since the font bytes are so weird) and do some more work on it to load fonts. Also it would probably be very slow with the VAT and all.
You could use hooks. They are possible outside apps.
Also I noticed ticalc shows how many people voted in hidden polls and the 83+ category got 19 votes, Color Basic 16 and current poll 24 so far. Not bad considering the state of calcs. I didn't know if anyone besides me and Kerm were still voting in POTY surveys.
I've always voted, for the 2 New Years I've been around.
Aah good to hear. My main concern this year is that the last 5 ticalc news have not gotten a single comment. While the decrease in ticalc comments has something to do with Ticalc.org's lack of newsing during extended periods of time in the last decade and people checking less often as a result, zero comments or comments by only a few different people can make it hard to figure out if anyone still votes. But thankfully, it seems that we can keep track of the amount of votes before poll results become public. :P
Just look at download stats to see how well ticalc is doing...
Well, they were quite high so far, but most of the community activity moved to forums over the years, since ticalc.org was seen as not interactive enough over the time and not updated as often. Most of the time in the late 2000's, Omnimaga, TI-Planet and even Cemetech newsed faster about new community and TI happenings and there was even a time where TI-related news on Omnimaga got more comments than ticalc.org.
The 68K poll is now up! http://www.ticalc.org/archives/news/articles/14/148/148835.html?p=0
