I've been checking this thread often and it makes me wish I had Minecraft on my laptop. I already bought it twice on mobile (once on iOS, once on Android) and I got it on Xbox for Christmas, and I'm not sure if I'll spend even more money to buy it again (what is it, $20?)

I wish we could play on the same server from multiple platforms, especially mobile+desktop. I could understand not being able too with consoles but at least mobile servers should be accessible from desktop version or vice-versa IMHO.

You might with reealms but you can't play together, just a realms server covers all devices I think. I am not certain tho.

I'm not sure if cross-platform would work too well since PC has features, items, etc that mobile doesn't have (such as pistons and other redstone-related blocks)

True, but it would still be better than nothing.

Who knows, maybe they will implement cross-platform servers once Pocket Edition catches up... if it ever does. Or, when you create a server, there should be an option to make it mobile-friendly.

They didn't have redstone before? O.O

EDIT: Talking about redstone, I have now built a railway that leads to the top of the mountain located to the south of the skeleton sprite and east of the big pyramid.

They added a bit of redstone, nothing more than redstone torches, lights, and the input devices (levers, buttons, etc)

On a side note, in Worldedit, brushes are handy to create mountains. Use //brush sphere grass 5 and //brush smooth 5, but make sure to not point the camera away, else it will damage existing town structures since brush lets you edit stuff over infinite distances.

I tried making some cliffs with the tool. They dont look good :(

Those look cool for caverns, though. But yeah it can take a while to get it right, especially the brush tool that screws up mountain slopes.

Also I think I will build a massive invisible wall around the mountain area to prevent anyone from hitting the buildings by accident.
