For which window manager you want to go?
I guess for my favorite one: Openbox

I tried that once on my Pi (using my Gentoo SD-card), but I got bored and switched to lxde :) I'm a little bit too lazy to setup everything to my needs.

LXDE uses OpenBox actually. :P

p4nix

Yeah, but LXDE already comes fine while you have to fiddle around with everything on OpenBox.

Except that the default theme looks so ugly. :P

Indeed. Normal openbox looks a lot nicer.

I think it comes with the black-onyx theme by default, but it doesn't look bad.

Lol Darkest at first I thought you decided to switch to just using text-only or command-line. I can't imagine how weird it would be to do all my daily computer tasks just on command consoles, including pixel art. Ok, I am a bit exagerating now, but yeah I kinda prefer having some UI, preferably not overdone, though, so my computer won't lag.

I recently got to install Arch on this laptop (was bored of Windows 7 and Knoppix), I made myself a pretty nice config with sway (a windows manager for Wayland written by our own SirCmpwn) and conky.

Also have the config for the bottom bar I wrote: https://gist.github.com/juju2143/aece6992955462333712
