Interesting program, but why does it only support BMP files and not PNG? D:

Anyway what I like is that it doesn't apply motion blur like every single image editor does when rotating/resizing stuff.

Aaah ok. How long ago did you make this by the way? The icons in the file/load options are from back in the 90's O.O

Anyway this works like a charm. All it needs more is an option to create wall tiles but making such tilemapper might be kinda complicated anyway. This works perfectly for flat maps.

a little pro trick you can use to change the parameters even better and work with any picture format...
Paint.Net got a tool called Rotation Zoom that lets you do the same :)
You just have to play arund with the rotation and zoom settings a bit and keep in mind to always use the same settings ;)

so if youre having problems with that tool, feel fry to try it with Paint.Net - its free, too ^^

*sorry if this sounds like advertising >.<

@p2 it would help if the screenshot was in English :P

Also does Rotationszoom apply filters after the rotation is done? That's my main problem with most image editors I tried so far. While it looks smoother this way, it loses the 16-bits feel and sometimes I get artifacts around my textures. I prefer having the ability to use nearest neighbor, as Kotu's program provides.

you can use nearest neighbor mode for resizing images but im actually not sure if it's  used there, too D:
I'll try it out :)

edit:
it doesnt use nearest neighbor D:
buuut (stupid, I know) it should be possible to upscale, rotate and then downscale in nearest neighbor mode again :)
which is pretty stupid, I know...

@p2 There seems to be another problem with RotationZoom, it's not isometric (which is a requirement in this topic I guess).

I agree that Paint.NET is awesome though :P
I urge everyone to use it for everything that isn't isometric tiles (and converting .ogg music files to .mp3 files) :P

Dream of Omnimaga

Wait, Paint.net can convert music files? What kind of wizardry is that?

Lolno, that was included in the "everything that isn't" :P

Dream of Omnimaga

Oh right, I misread lol. I was wondering if it was like how we could open a jpg file with Notepad and edit it.
