I think they are fine if expected, though. That's kinda part of what horror movies are for, especially the ones released near Halloween. But it depends if the movie relies entirely on them too, in which case it's kinda cheap (unless the movie's entire purpose is to scare you)

Yeah same the second time. The first time I was scared, though, because scary pop ups normally never happens in actual scary/horror videos (except of course movie scenes and some games), but then I saw the user made other vids like that one and I kinda expected the pop up.

Haha I remember doing that in F-Zero as well, but it wasn't as easy to pull off as it sounds. It was possible outside tool-assisted runs, though.
