This includes First Fantasy: Mana Force, Sorcery of Uvutu, Reuben Quest: Lost Between Times, Oiram CE (a Super Mario clone), SQRXZ CE, KillMinds, VVSSV, Line++, Lazer 2, GalagACE and Wal-Rush! Various existing games, such as This is the Only Level, Androides, Billybox, Mandragore, Bejeweled, Flappy Bird, Pac-Man and Pac-Attack, were also ported to TI calculators by our users and various retro gaming console emulators (SNES, Turbografx-16, Sega Genesis, Master System, etc) were released for the TI-Nspire CX.

Aside from game development, our participating forum users have released notable tools such as ICE Compiler, Houstontracker 2, CEmu, the C SDK and Libraries for the CE. We also have our share of musicians and pixel artists as well, along with a massive database of MTV Music Generator series songs from the remains of TIMGUL. A lot of new projects are also active in the development section, ranging from new games to programming utilities and 3D engines, so expect new releases at any moment. We intend to provide a friendly place to discuss your favorite topics, to hang out and to showcase your projects and releases, so hopefully you feel at home here. Registration is free and only takes a few seconds!

Just a little reminder that your favourite website (I mean, this one right?) exist thanks to donations from our members, and so far it works quite well. We have a bunch of ways you can contribute, namely the ads below the site logo (click on the "your ad here" to, well, put your ad there) or directly on PayPal by clicking on this link. Or if you're from Québec City, Canada, our record label is also working into releasing DJ Omnimaga's discography to the four Sunrise Records stores of the region! How cool is that?

Goal for this month is about $35 USD, since we have domain name renewals this month too, but if we get more money in an usual month, we might give out fancier contest prizes and also other goodies we might not give you with the usual $15/month operating budget.

So, the more you give out, the more you get back! I hope we'll be a lot to help the :walrii: ^_^

With that lame-duck year at my old work place being almost over, I am announcing that I am returning to staff at 4:45 PM. I will be part of the moderator and forum maintenance group.

We will also have two new staff in the near future.

Since we will have at least one moderator again, we would also like to remind members to not use the forums and chatroom while under the influence of alcohol and drugs or without receiving proper treatment for any disability unless they are 100% guaranteed to remain in full control of themselves . Each user is responsible for what happens with their user account.

Well, look like we have a few issues with the MySQL server once in a while around when the backup script runs, we're investigating the issue and we'll keep you updated. Sorry for the disruptions!

Notable Game and Software Releases
Linux is coming to the Prime.
It should have been there a long time; the chip it runs on, the S3C2416, has been supported for a long time. Recently gaining access to tools for jtag, I decided I would go and connect things up, not realizing that the newer revision of Prime didn't even have jatag pins broken out on the front of the board. I bought a prime, and started working.

Tonight, I got up and running with a shell. There's nothing else here but the shell, actually, and many things don't work. But I got the LCD and serial port working, which is easily enough to test with.

Here's a picture of the shell up and running on tty0:

The sources can be found on my github:
ripem build with loader
qemu for Prime
Since I don't have a good setup for the initramfs running right now, I'm going to figure out how to get buildroot up and running. As long as I'm not too busy with school, I'll figure out how to make a keyboard driver and get the rest of the theoretically working platform drivers (usb, touchscreen) working. If anyone wants to help, go ahead!

An update on CodeWalrus' status and upcoming changes:

-Based on Juju's life schedule and mine (all of which is explained in two topics located in the access-restricted safe-haven sub-forum), CodeWalrus has most likely been saved at this point.

-No matter if things in Juju's life go haywire or not, the Discord, Telegram and IRC channels are here to stay.

-We are switching to PhpBB 3.2 software. This is our final weeks as a SMF 2.0 website.

-We will also attempt to merge the TIMGUL archives into CodeWalrus database, but it is not 100% guaranteed (a temporary conversion to MyBB is necessary).

-The new website will only replace the current one once Juju got OmnomIRC or WalrusIRC to work on it. (most likely OmnomIRC for multi-channel support)

-The new website will only replace the current one once Juju made sure that the current CodeWalrus topic URLs are still working (either via redirect or read-only archive).

-The old SMF CW website will remain fully browsable in read-only mode for posterity, but file attachments, as well as very large files (such as the arcade content) will only remain available on the PhpBB site for disk space reason.

-Work on the new website will begin somewhere around August 25th, where I will gain SSH and PhpMyAdmin access under @Juju 's supervision.

-All CodeWalrus features that are exclusive to SMF plugins have 99.99% chances to be reset, permanently lost or read-only during the PhpBB conversion, such as the following:
*Topic cloning (the ability to place one topic in multiple categories at once, which only staff could use)
*Post rating, karma and rating reasons
*Custom profile fields (Ticalc.org, Skype, calcs owned, etc). You will have to manually copy their content one by one from the archived SMF CW website onto the PhpBB one.
*The list of all front-page news posted before the upgrade. It will be archived in a topic.
*Publicly-visible board statistics (posts per day, Juju stat graph, site traffic, top members, etc)
*Other things I might have forgotten.
-There is no exact timetable about when exactly the new website will go live. While the bulk of the upgrade will happen during a short timeframe at the end of August up to early September, the rest will be slow, as work on the new website can only happen while me and juju are online at the same time for extended periods of time.

More information will become available as the upgrade process begins, but feel free to ask here or in this forum section, as we will not bite any member for being curious.
