Caticle Chronicles, the story in which cats fly is space, and have misadventures.
In this installment, the cats are attacked my caterites, or cat pirates, and you must shoot them down to destroy them, in increasingly harder difficulties.
This program is now available for both the CE and the CSE. I'm working on porting it to the monochrome calcs as well.

Hi, I approved your two uploads. I should give this a try at one point since this seems interesting. :) I hope the other Cemetech entries get published by their respective authors so I can try them all too.
By the way you should probably use a different image upload service, such as http://img.ourl.ca or Imgur, because the one you use right now disallows hotlinking, meaning that your image will not show up in posts.

I think I am going to add another part to the game and make the first part of the story into part I and this would be part II.
(Part I would be a something to do with spaceships shooting at each other)
Ooh that would be interesting to see actually. I wonder if it would be fast enough, though? Did you plan to have multiple ships moving at once like Space Invaders or closer to 1 vs 1 battles?
With the current problems I have with multiple enemys and the storylines description, I think I am going to make it multiple levels with one enemy each. It will be in basic, so it won't be too fast ;)
Aah ok. Good luck. And yeah TI-BASIC can put severe constraints on gameplay speed, not to mention it has some strange slowdowns that sometimes forces us to make the code larger. For example, I made a Space invader clone once that runs faster by displaying all 12 enemies displayed with 12 Output commands than using For(A,1,3:For(B,1,4:Output(A,B+P,"V":End:End >.<.
Do you think for the game shown in your screenshot above, you could use multiple colors? White, yellow and one of the shades of gray lets you use gray background.

Hmm... How would that be possible? Can't there only be one text color at a time on the graph screen?
Nah there can be multiple ones. It's just that most colors have a white background, while others (including yellow) has a light gray background.

It would probably be more respectful for other CW members who don't go to Cemetech to actually give a link to the actual file so that they don't have to search for it themselves. Also, it's generally seen badly by forum staff or members if instead of actually giving information about your updates, you just tell people to find it on another site. Some people might even see it as blatant site advertising.
Also cross-posting isn't that hard. All you have to do is using CTRL+C to copy and CTRL+V to paste. :P

Ok so after weeks of waiting, I finally tried the last version of this game. I like the idea and it's quite challenging. Surpringsly, despite being simple, it works pretty well. My suggestion would be to do like First Fantasy: Mana Force and hide the white frame and gray status bar at the top of the screen. You could perhaps even display the score/health in the empty bar at the top instead of using Output(), but then it would flicker.
That is what I am currently trying to do, I had to make some color changes due to some xlib problems, but now all I want to figure out is how to display things on that bar. The game looks really off center without anything there. :P
Anyways, did you find the Pi easter egg?

Cool, anyways, CaterPi will only be available for another ~20 hours so get it now or you won't get the easter egg! Caterite will come in its place.
Will Caterite include Caterpi gameplay with the shoot-em-up and stuff? It would suck if this game was gone for good >.<

@Unicorn , I know you switched from BASIC to C recently, but if you want to hide the entire TI-OS status bar and the white frame during gameplay, you could run {1,33,12,1,12,27,12:Asm(prgmTEXTLIB at the start of the game for the CE version. The extra 1 at the start of the list is to erase the run indicator. Just don't forget to run {33,12,1,2,27,24:Asm(prgmTEXTLIB upon exiting to redraw the status bar (this won't redraw the text in it, though).

Something I thought that could be cool is an actual CE Textlib remake, so that everything is drawn with just 1 Asm(prgmTEXTLIB list, but that could be hard to implement if the code isn't cooperative. :P

Also I really want to remake my old BASIC Galaxian knockoff into CE Textlib. It used 12 Output commands so I wouldn't be surprised if it ran faster with CE Textlib.

Actually the idea is more an update. Instead of using Output the bullet and ships would draw with {33,YOffset,XOffset,Height,Width,Color for faster speed.
The faster, the better. :)
Indeed, and Output is not the fastest thing from TI <_< (don't get me started on ClrHome)
