I made a simple 3D demo in PICO-8, currently there is only support for drawing wireframe shapes and point clouds. There are also a few bugs, but I think it looks pretty great! (You can see one of the bugs in the screenshot)

Demo attached

Looks awesome I should bug my parents to see if I can buy PICO-8

You don't need to buy it, see my message posted earlier on the PICO-8 thread:

Also, I've made some modifications, I'll update the op soon.

I saw this earlier and it really looks good. It seems smoother now that I view the screenshot on a computer, unless it's a new screenshot? Anyway I am definitively curious about what kind of 3D game could be done on that console.

Looks awesome! Now make a 4D demo

It seems to run pretty well even with quite a few lines onscreen

Wow that's quite impressive. :D Starfox, anyone? :)

Oooh, that'd be neat

Yeah but solid 3D isn't the same than wireframe 3D X) You will probably end in a slow crawl.
EDIT : Wait, IIRc, there is a polygon function.

Probably, but it'll be fun.

If there is no built-in filled polygon feature and only wireframe, then it could end up being very slow if the author tried to limit speed on purpose for such things, but I am willing to bet it might be fast enough.

Wireframe rendering is pretty much a few simple matrix multiplications, so it should be pretty fast. For textures, well, that's another story.

I saw a non sorted 3D solid prototype once on Twitter. 3D is coming soon! :p

Awesome :D

Here's the demo I saw. Amazing.
