For those who don't know, SGDQ is happening this week. SGDQ is a week long event of 24/7 videogame speed-running for charity. Throughout the week they take donations and have raffles and other incentives. All donations go to doctors without borders.

I didn't know when they did the SGDQ but I often watched short parts of their stuff in the past, as well as AGDQ. I mostly watch speedruns of my favorite games or meme-related games, though, not the entire thing.
I should check the schedule. Thanks for reminding me by the way. I wonder if they'll do Big Rigs like AGDQ did? :P
My favourite block always been the TAS one, I wonder what they're up to this time.
And yeah, they do it every summer and every winter. Every 6 months, pretty much.

Yes, TAS is the best!
Wait, how does one do a tool-assisted speedrun in real time? Doesn't those require manual button presses edit? Unless you mean something else, because I never watched that part in SGDQ before.

They pre-record the TAS button sequences, and play them back during SGDQ, talking about techniques they use and such.
Oh I see now. That sounds quite cool actually. It must also be entertaining to watch live with a big audience.
Will they be playing Summer Games for the Atari 2600?

Very entertaining. They manage to do some cool stuff with fun hacks, arbitrary code execution where they humorously do something unexpected and even throw the Twitch chat in the controller inputs for good measure.

That pun. Unlikely they do Atari games as most of them takes 5 seconds to speedrun, though. The schedule is in the OP.
They could speedrun Princess Rescue for the Atari :P
EDIT: OMG they're doing Demon's Crest Wednesday
I'll be watching at least a few of these. 24/7 is nice.
