Works for me. Chrome on OS X 10.9. It's not really related to a topic in particular, but it's pretty sensible to network changes. So if it's not working, either it's down or you'll want to reload until it works.

Could it be that if the topic is still loading stuff that it's causing WIRC to hang? Maybe you could make WIRC wait an extra second before loading.

On a side note, this problem sometimes starts happening right after posting.
