Quote from: DJ Omnimaga on April 19, 2020, 07:50:54 PMNow a blank window appears for two seconds then the software shuts down by itself.
Do you have extracted all files to one directory?
It's quite strange. Does the blank window have a title?

You should have the following files:

If the files are complete, you might still want to try the latest version of GTK#:

Personally, I absolutely can't stand Windows 10, so I don't have a single instance (and don't test my software with it).
Technically, it should work, but perhaps it needs a more recent version of GTK to work.
Quote from: DJ Omnimaga on April 19, 2020, 06:01:17 PMHm I dunno if it's because of Windows Defender, but nothing happens when I double-click the exe file after decompressing the archive. I use Windows 10 and there's nothing out of the ordinary appearing in Task Manager
Do you have the Gtk# runtime library installed?
Alright, probably for the last time ever, I have fixed and finished the CW notifier.
You can download the binary files here:

Have fun  :)
Quote from: DJ Omnimaga on April 11, 2020, 05:24:16 PMWhat was the URL of the notifier? Before the SMF 2.1 RC2 upgrade I had a link on the recent topics page but it disappeared when we ditched Simpleportal.
What happened to your project? Did it go further?
Quote from: DarkestEx on April 18, 2019, 08:41:42 PMHehe, indeed. I am actually using this much on a regular basis and might even consider upgrading one last time to 32 GB at some point.
And I actually ended up doing that. It's now fully maxed out and runs great.
Hmm, I just stumbled over the old notifier.
I fixed it maybe one or two years ago, but now it broke again.
Even though probably nobody uses it anymore, it probably still warrants an update...
Quote from: DJ Omnimaga on October 30, 2019, 05:33:01 PMYeah true. People are not fans of forums nowadays and they were mostly replaced by either social networks or real-time mediums.
I prefer forums a lot over social networks. Apart from Twitter and LinkedIn (and perhaps Instagram once a week), I am not using any social networks regularly. Forums are just much nicer to keep track of updates and the post contents tend to stay relevant for much longer.
Quote from: Travis on October 19, 2019, 11:28:47 PMOh... I think this is finally my chance to say, "Holy necropost, Batman!"
* Travis runs

I somehow completely missed DJ's reply until now anyway, and I didn't even remember this thread until I saw the picture I posted of the archive interface, haha. Also, I realized I made a mistake in the screenshot and forgot to change one of the instances of "v200" to "v400". Darn. Now everyone knows the V400 reference is fake. :P
Gotta keep the site alive somehow. It's an entire necropost otherwise :P
It really is time for a renaissance of calculators
That looks impressive, nice :D
Quote from: DJ Omnimaga on April 18, 2019, 08:37:06 PMDamn, that's a lot of RAM. I rarely use more than 10 GB at once (Minecraft with high-res textures and shader packs). I think my mobo only supports up to 16 GB too. I really needed to upgrade my GPU if I wanted to play new games higher than medium settings.
Hehe, indeed. I am actually using this much on a regular basis and might even consider upgrading one last time to 32 GB at some point.
For me, primarily the web browser's memory management gets less efficient the more RAM is available. The same amount of tabs open will inflate RAM more now.
I tend to keep various CAD programs open at the same time, while developing electronics, along said browser. This will also eat up quite a lot of RAM.
My graphics card is really quite basic compared to yours ;)
But for me, it's more than enough to play Minecraft well. I don't tend to play a lot on PC (primarily on console) so it doesn't matter much to me.
I have just recently upgraded my main PC. These are the new specs: :)

* 4x Intel Core i7 2600 @ 3.40 GHz (8 Threads, HT, VT-x)
* 20 GB DDR3 RAM
* AMD Radeon HD 7470 @ 775 MHz (1 GB GRAM)
* 4x USB 3, 8x USB 2
* 240 GB SSD, 500 GB HDD
* Full HD LCD
* Cherry business keyboard
* Speedlink Manejo vertical mouse
