The soundcloud track isn't showing the player, but it you click the link, it goes to a working player.
Have you tried with public tracks? It might be that Soundcloud requires credentials or something to show the track to other people. Maybe set it as unlisted?

The previous posts in the thread are public tracks, and the link in the post has the credentials in the last bit (the ?secret_token=s-EFHO2 part). Secret/hidden is the same as unlisted/link-only for youtube.
Ah ok I thought they required giving access to specific users
