Not really though. I was just bringing that game back because he gave me the envy to. Now, I just want to see chich one will comes first. Both of us have an handicap : he runs it on a 6MH device, I'm a professionnal procrastinator with a health issue which forces me to rest.

Ooh I like those screenies Eiyeron. Also I hope your health recovers soon. Is it a permanent disease or just something temporary?

I'm-a going out today. It seems that I won't have any long-term problem, only some medic visits for the next month.

Ah ok. Hopefully nothing bad happens again. Also stay healthy :)

Yeah, I should. I'm staying home next week though. Thanks.

EDIT : now the colors are reversed at 60 seconds.

Ooh that came out pretry nicely. :D btw is there a lot of motion blur during gameplay like some TI-84+ games?

There is a lot less motion blur as the screen is made to reduce the effect and give a better contrast.

Aah cool, although I bet grayscale on such screen must flicker like crazy >.<

On my calc, only a sort of 3 gray is flickerless. I have yet to find a better timing for 4 grays and find again the working graayscale functions.

Would the TI-83+ trick of using checkerboards work? Although it doesn't fix the flickering, it creates an optical illusion making everything look flickerless or close. Also I wonder if such grayscale would slow down Hexagon massively?

I haven't tried to edit the grayscale display functions because two things

- timer based grayscale kills your processing power as you need high frequency refresh timer.
- the checkerboard pattern would slow down the refresh itself and it would need a big refactor to avoid the function interrupting itself, killing the timer system and forcing one to reboot.

So, no grayscale for Hexagon. But this could be doable with a high overclock.

Aah ok sorry to hear. That said, with what happened to a bunch of Casio PRIZM calcs on Cemetech, I am unsure if overclocking on game startup is a good idea so it might be best to stick to current processor speeds for safety reasons. Not to mention overclocking must eat batteries pretty fast anyway.

Overclocking seems more stable on FX as even Wolfenstein used it. It seems quite common to use CpuSpeed or the more recent FTune .

Maybe the failures are more of a PRIZM thing, then? It's possible that since the PRIZM doesn't officially support C development, unlike the 9860G, that the calc has fewer protections against risky manipulations, so like with the TI-Nspire, bad PRIZM code could result into bricking the calculator, while with the 9860G or 84+, all that will happen is a reboot (and in the 84+ case, a RAM reset). It's actually possible to brick a 84+ but it's much harder than with the TI-Nspire.
