I feel it's 8 bit as much as it's 1 bit personally. :P 8 bit due to using a 8 bit processor, but 1 bit for using a monochrome screen platform :P

The 1 bit thing is because it's done by toggling one signal (bit).

p4nix

But on TI 2x 1bit I guess.
By the way, does someone know if 2x output is possible on Casio too? I'd guess not since they have crossed two pins of the 2.5mm-3pin-cable, which makes me think that 1pin is Input, the other Output (and 1 GND of course)...

Are you going to have the HT2 file available for downloading? I'd like to listen to this on my calc.

I don't mind, if Utz is comfortable with people sharing copies of HT2.

From the docs :
QuoteHoustonTracker 2 is free, open source software. It is released under a "revised" BSD-License. This means you're basically free to use, modify, and redistribute this software both in binary as well as source form, as long as you don't pretend that I endorse what you're doing, or try to hold me responsible for any damage done.
Additionally the license requires you to credit the author. See the docs for the full license.

Ah right. There is always the issue of my version being outdated, tho, so I will probably recommend ppl to use the official release for production :P

Sure, you're welcome to share the file online, especially if you link to the official release.
The in-development savestate utility can now export single savestates to a custom format, but there's no way of reimporting them yet, so it's fairly pointless atm.

Maybe a converter could be done at one point for people who wants to upload to soundcloud?

I'm afraid not - that'd be a project of the scale of HT2 itself, if not bigger, 'cause you'd basically need a full TI emulation to do that.

Ah right, too bad. It could have been done by someone else, but if it's gonna be this much work then I guess it's not worth it.
