Welp. Japanese still do flip phones. :P
Don't base yourself on K-On. That anime's 6 years old by now.

Not basing myself on that. I have a friend who has such a phone from Japan (plus a Sony xperia but still :P).

Aren't they still making new flip phones nowadays? Also my first ever phone was a Samsung i5510 and it was slow as hell (although touchscreen was much better than my iPod Touch 4), but it did the job while it lasted. Now it's used only as alarm clock.

Here's my question : do they still make phones? With all the smartphone craziness, do they still create new phone models?

Of course lol :P. Unless you mean normal phones, but even then they still make residential phones for people who want a residential phone line.

Oh no I even seen worse = home smartphone. It's like a phone, you have a home telephone line but you can't bring it out of your home.

Dream of Omnimaga

Wait what?? I seriously hope that isn't a thing! O.O Why use such phone when you can just use a normal phone and put it next to your desktop computer, tablet or laptop?

At least it isn't wired. :P That would be like Back to the Future II's vision of 2015, where there are Skype-style video conferences, yet faxes are even more popular. :P

Lol that does sound weird. I need to watch that movie.

Dream of Omnimaga

Indeed. BttF series is by far one of the best movie series out there. Great classics that the current generations should watch even if the 2nd movie's depiction of the future is not even close to accurate :P (which can be understood considering that movie came out in 1989)
