Lets see:
this is how to kill YukiBot and Walrifried:

Just paste this into the irc or WalrusIrc box and hit return (long or infinite datastream):
http://bit.ly/ReallyReadThis
or
http://dev.muessigb.net/KillBots.php?infinite_datastream

That should kill the bots.

And to freeze the bot use this (not working, using infinite redirects):

The problem is that the bot crashes when you make it download a huge file. I made it auto-restart now and juju should probably look into detecting the file size before attempting to download it. :P

So any redirect download link kills the bots?

I dunno. But especially large files (my test file is a few GB).

It's just large files (or infinite streams with php or similar).

It does follow http 301 redirects though, that's why the bit.ly link work I suppose. If you make the 301 recursive it will freeze the bot.

Yuki

I guess I should do a redirect limit before giving up. Also file size limit.

Anyway, thanks for the Windows 7 DVD.

You can know the size of the file prior to downloading it.
