Title: DJ Omnimaga's rare and ancient music mashups and remix [bootlegs]
Post by: Dream of Omnimaga on May 10, 2016, 06:22:23 AM
The following is not a new song, but rather a very ancient remix of a popular 80's Quebec song. Not many people know about my remixes since most were never permanently uploaded anywhere (either the video gets blocked everywhere or stuff like that for copyright reasons). Anyway, here is my best 2003 remix done without any DJ equipment nor a computer. Only a mic, a tape player and a TV were used, so the sound quality suffered badly. But a few years ago I remastered the track by combining the MTVMG track that was standalone but had slightly better sound with the remix: http://djomnimaga.codewalr.us/marie_denise_pelletier_-_tous_les_cris_les_sos_dj_omnimaga_happy_hardcore_remix.mp3

The original song was made by Marie-Denise Pelletier in 1986 and is called Tous les cris les S.O.S.
I remixed it into happy hardcore in 2003.

So yeah, remixing songs without a computer nor any equipment is possible. :P But getting both tracks synced together is a mega nightmare >.<

I also did the same thing with Mario Pelchat - Voyager and Roxette - Spending my Time:

http://djomnimaga.codewalr.us/mario%20pelchat%20-%20voyager%20dj%20omnimaga%20remix%202003.mp3

Those two were remastered several years after the other song so the quality is slightly better, but the tracks get out of sync often >.<. And like my other mashup, the vocals are not loud enough. Sadly, all I got left are cassette recordings, so they are not salvageable beyond that.

I'll probably spare you the two CĂ©line Dion remixes (one was made only with MTVMG and the other with Audacity), so I'll skip straight to the Ace of Base remix. Unlike the above, I still had the MTVMG save file, except the vocals, so I could rerecord it straight to my computer for higher quality after re-adding the vocals:

Now here is a remix of Cirque du Soleil - Alegria (1994) that I made in 2007:

And now the 2009 stuff:
Rihanna - Disturbia vs DJ Omnimaga - Grooving to the Melody (ironically, GTTM came out before Disturbia)

Saint Seiya Japanese opening instrumental vs Tay Zonday - Chocolate Rain

The rest are random songs mashed up with Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up:

And my most popular, by far (and probably @JWinslow23 's favorite? :P):

As usual when I post those MP3s in particular, they could disappear from the web at any moment until much later so I recommend grabbing them before the website links go down. :P

The following are remixes of my songs that were not made by me, but I'm posting them in this topic since they're still related:
