Looks like Netflix is developing a TV series revolving around the universe of the Legend of Zelda. It is supposedly gonna be like (THE) GAME of Thrones, but family-oriented. I wonder how good this could be? Sometimes, live-action doesn't end up well (Dragon Ball Evolution anyone?), but in other cases the end result is not bad or pretty good. I sadly don't have netflix, though. I hope they will consider releasing it on DVD if it is received well and popular among the audience. :)
We just got netflix yesterday so I'm gonna check it out as soon as it airs
Oh well, as long it doesn't end as the animated series...

What went wrong with it? I never had the chance to watch it because when I was kid it was not airing yet (if it aired at all over here). All I got to watch as Nintendo series was Super Mario Bros 3 cartoons (and much later Pokémon, then someone sent me the original SMB cartoons on a DVD)
It ended with Link as a unnameable pervert which literally stalks Zelda in public and ask for a kiss. Poor voicing (french version even change voices during some episodes), scenarios failed. Oh and the famous king of the CDi games comes from the show (and pretty much all the bad things). And it's only the beginning.
Wait what? That almost sounds like the TV studio was hacked and the episodes altered without them noticing... *.*
Heck, that could be a good reason... :S Oh, have a look at joueur du grenier's animated show adaptations. It sums up pretty much the problem.
Yeah, it's really really weird. I'll be checking this out, somehow, somewhere. I don't have Netflix though haha.

This is still a rumor. Let's wait and see how it goes.
Indeed. We never know sometimes if IGN might have picked up a hoax as news by accident. Plus, sometimes, when crazy projects like this come up, it often turns out to be too good to be true then either it gets canned halfway through or it sucks.
I remember the fan TLoZ which was way better than any movie trailer at the moment. It really brought to me the "TAKEY MONEY" feeling.
Do you mean the 2009 April Fools prank?
Yeah, I think so.
