Yeah, generating all those PNGs is a time-consuming process I don't want to do all over again once Inochi2D 0.9 is out and/or I need to change literally anything in the character design (unless I figure out how to script that, but eh), so figures I'm doing something else in the meantime, like standard Horse Life 98 strips or...

From a39 studios, introducing a visual novel adaptation of the definitely not award winning webcomic Horse Life 98!

We are on the eve of the feast of St. John the Baptist, the national day of Québec. A feast where we celebrate the beginning of summer, when it's starting to get hot outside. However, it's not hot. It's freezing cold. It's all but summer. What's happening? Is the groundhog that died on Groundhog Day having something to do?

Find Yuki and Tsuki, two girls with legendary kitsune powers, on their quest to find summer back in this comedy visual novel, Japanese style but 100% Québécois, created and directed by J. P. Savard. A novel with multiple branches, several possibilities of trial and error, and a lot of absurd situations. Can you find a way to bring summer back?



Made using Ren'Py, Mannequin and Inochi2D, available eventually on itch.io and (probably) Steam in French and English.

It's a company called Cloanto, and they're still very protective of their IP.

Yes and no, it's based on the C64 and it's compatible with it up to a point but the graphics and the sound are very different. It uses a custom graphics card (which will work on the C64 if you want), and last I heard it uses a YM2151 and a PSG instead of a SID.

If you follow the 8-Bit Guy, you might know he's working on a brand new Commodore 64-like computer, and it looks quite interesting: the hardware is close to done, there's an emulator and many tools developed around it, and they even have permission from whoever ended up with the Commodore IP to build on the 64's ROM!

I'm not sure. I also had the same problem when I tried to plug something that isn't the router my ISP gave me. (Which is also your ISP.) I suspect MAC filtering, or maybe some weird unsupported or unconfigured feature the modem or the ISP needed.

In any case, it's not super secure to plug a desktop computer directly on the Internet these days, unless it's been configured correctly.

Oh, you plugged it directly into the modem, that might be why.

Step 1: Identify your ethernet device

Open a terminal and type this:

lspci | grep Ethernet
That would be easier to google if you know what it is, and if it's detected at all.

Step 2: Check if the lights on the ethernet port on both sides are on. If not, either the port or the cable might be dead.

You can transfer Python scripts without having to flash the firmware since version 1.4.0. That's what the workshop is for.

From what I understand, you basically only have Python scripts to care of, and apps have to be compiled into the firmware as of now, so memory management isn't super useful as you probably wouldn't fill your calc full of Python scripts. (But eh, knowing DJ he would xD) That is, until there's a way to do file transfers without recompiling and transfering the firmware again.
