Calculator Development / Re: Code Zombie +CSE

@TheMachine02 Thanks, the speed should be good, I have been putting off precalculating the y windows just to have something to fall back on if it was slow.

@Cumred_Snektron  Thanks! Originally it wouldn't even display correctly on Wabbitemu because of the way I handled drawing.

@alexgt Thanks! Three weapon upgrades are available, I haven't tried them yet, but they're in there (mostly!)

@DJ Omnimaga Thanks, right now there is only one weapon and it has infinite ammo. That may change though. I added a road image that covers up the area where text (health/ammo) was suppose to go. I didn't want to waste time drawing any text on the game screen so I figured there's only one life, if a zombie bites you your dead, and there's unlimited ammo. I do need to add intersections or make the map a circle! I hope the CE version runs fine with scrolling..

@Unicorn There could be a unicorn or a hamster...

Calculator Development / Code Zombie +CSE

With the arrival of the CE I have been motivated to finish off some old projects that I had started for the +CSE. Code Zombie is a game that I have been pushing off for quite some time but now its getting around to its final stages. The game had originally started off as a port of Sean's Nazi Zombies but I ended up changing it to take better advantage of the +CSE's hardware.

When finished the game will have two modes: survival and wars mode.

@DJ Omnimaga Hey DJ, and yeah, I got it. I was about to make a topic then I started playing all the contest entries :(

@guicrith Is it okay if I make this for arduino maybe?

This is the game I played most out of the contest entries. At first it seemed a little confusing with all the colors changing so quick but I after I figured it out I kept trying to disarm it. I made it pretty far but I could never beat the one with just a lone red color. Have you made it for the arduino yet?

Mind if I split your project showcase into its own topic, in the projects section? ;)

Also you can apply via private message as well if you want. Of course keep in mind that it can take a while before you get accepted, though, since in your case you vanished for a very long time (and Elite coders are generally added when they average at 10 posts a month or so), but you could have some good chances if you stick around, especially considering you also do non-calc projects. :)

That game looks great, though! O.O

The site hasn't even been open a month! I don't care for an "Elite Coders" badge that's based off of posts  Come on, that's bogus!

Here is my official entry for Elite Coder:

This project is Code Zombie. It originally started off as a top down shooter but then I took a break and changed its direction based on upcoming projects.

Progress has been ok. Since the last post I've added in the zombies and modified the engine to run faster. I didn't want to submit anything until I was sure I could match the mockup in my introduction.

Goals:
A map that shows places you can enter like the main base and stores.
Harder/faster zombies in different areas of the map.
Collectible items like food, water, and ammunition.

@DJ Omnimaga : Call of Pripyat is the sequel to Shadow of Chernobyl (I think thats whats its called) but the game won't play on my computer. I can walk around for about 1 min, then it quits. The first game was pretty cool though.
