So I logged into my gmail a few days ago, roughly a week I think, and I got a popup to switch to 'Inbox by Gmail'. Apparently, it's a new thing that's going to replace Gmail in the future, and I must say after getting used to it for a bit it's really awesome. My inbox hasn't been as organized as it is now :) Basically, Inbox emphasizes archiving and makes it way easier to do so, so I often have my inbox entirely empty. It's awesome and I recommend it. I also don't exactly know why I'm writing this in a topic but hey, I figured I'd just do that.
Oh, and it has an android (maybe ios too) app that works well. At least it doesn't use tons of data (looking at you, cyanogen mail app)
lol
Been a while Google offered me this option and, well, I said no. I'm more used to the traditional Gmail.
Is it still a website or is it an actual, downloadable mail client? Having a decent mail client would be nice, since the Windows 10 mail app isn't very good.

It's an android/ios client, and there's a web interface. The android client is really good, and the web version too. There's no desktop client, though.
I might give this a try if they didn't butcher the interface like many companies did with their respective websites over the years (eg Myspace, Youtube, Facebook, although FB redesigns aren't that hard to get used to). At first I was confused by what that was. I thought it was Gmail, inception style, rather than a replacement. Also I hope I can keep my old e-mails, unlike when MSN changed their interface a few years ago.
Well, you made me discover it, and that's pretty cool :p
@DJ_O No, I kept all my emails :p
I don't use it yet as it doesn't allow logging in with non-google emails yet.
